I’ll have a bitter please...It’s the Everton thread

It’s a decent point if you isolate it as a 1 off result, if they wouldv’e won against Fulham then it’s an even better point. They can’t score goals and they don’t win enough games. On paper today was 1 of very few games 3 points was there for them to take. There’s no chance they go to Leicester and beat them & there’s even less chance they go to Wolves & win.

I didn’t think they would get a point against Palace - I figured Palace would seize the opportunity to step away from the relegation zone in front of their own fans. I think they could win against Leicester or Wolves, but the scenario my friend feared is unfolding. Pressure is going to pile up unless they get a surprise result. Leeds v. Leicester could see Everton chasing Leeds for the last spot, and Leicester with a chance to go 5-6 out of 18th if they can hold serve at Everton.

Everton can still get out of this, I don’t even think they need many points (although Forest is not as dead as I expected). Pressure is piling up on those 3 points on the last day of the season at Goodison.

The draw is a “win” for wankie Fwankie.
Broke his run of losing streak from the starting point.
But is that a corner turner or a brief respite from the plunge into the Championship?

Who? Everton is managed by the ginger Mourinho these days. Lampard has yet to manage a draw in his own current run.

My mistake.
Brain fart for thinking he’s still at Neverton. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

The problem is there is always some hapless shower of garbage ready to offer these a lifeline. I thought a while back it was Bournemouth but they’ve pulled away. Then it was Forest and they are still looking like they’ll go. Leicester will probably escape but now Leeds look absolutely fucking abysmal and are leaking goals like a sieve.
Probably need Leeds to beat Leicester in midweek and then Leicester to beat Everton. If Leeds lose to Leicester I think they’re fucked and it will be Leeds, Forest and Southampton for the drop.

surely they cant permanantly be so shite and escape relegation

With Dyche in charge, what have the Blueshite got to look forward to
even if they survive this season… Oh Yeah, another dogfight in the bottom three next season :0)
I hope they sink into the Championship without trace

Some clubs are like that. Coventry were in the top division for donkey’s years and rarely made it to mid-table. Once they were relegated they sank like a brick.

Yeah, May doesn’t look like points for Leeds, best hope is West Ham (away) in the 2nd last match. West Ham might even be safe by then, will have played in the conference league semi mid-week, and may be looking to a final. Overall, Leeds will have done well if they pick up 6 more points this season, so Everton need 7 to survive. Not a high bar.

Yeah Tory cunts fail upward. Once he’s sacked from Chelsea I expect Cheaty will turf out the doper and give him a go.

Remaining fixtures:

NewSandCastle (h)
Leicester City (a)
Brighton (a)
Cheaty (h)
Wolves (a)
Bournemouth (h)

I can see them maybe picking up 2 points - Draw vs Leicester and draw vs Wolves.

Cheerio cunts!

They could win at home against Bournemouth. Might have to watch that one just for the catalogue of Goodison negativity should they concede early.

There is 6pts potentially there.

Looking at Leeds I can’t see where their points are coming from at all.

Forest turn up like the last two they might actually get a few points*, they have the easier run in of those three alongside Leicester.

*I have a feeling they won’t.

10 years or so when Everton were decent to play against and their players weren’t acting like cunts, I’d actually have hoped for the club to be successful. In a way, you need that local competitiveness with your rivals to push your progress

But now, after the Holgate/Firmino incident, the Funes Mori/Origi incident, and the Pickford/VvD incident…Those fuckers can rot in the Championship.

I might get a ticket for that game, it’s not like they’re difficult to obtain.

Nah, the way Bournemouth have been playing recently I don’t see it.

Collectors item in a few years… sell it on e-bay as a memento from the last ever game they played in the PL :0)

Didn’t they just lose 4-0 at home to West Ham?

That is the West Ham that have just qualified for a European Semi FInal. A better team than what the shower of shite across Stanley Park can put out this season
