I’ll have a bitter please...It’s the Everton thread

Everton will finish 15th or below. Dyche will do enough to get them safe. He’s known for working on tight budgets.

But shifting deadweight isn’t going to be easy.

They do have some standards though. Which involve not going close to a current Everton player.

Having watched the play off final I felt that whomever won would struggle. Luton are way ahead of schedule with regards getting to the PL. They don’t have the infrastructure Brentford have and they don’t have the money Forest spent.

From where they where to where they are (that’s a lot of where’s!) in such a relatively short space of time is phenomenal but I think they’re gonna suffer next season.

Hope I’m wrong though.

My hope is that we see Wrexham coming up pass Everton on the way down at some point.

Definitely one too many.

“Where they were” :grinning:

Even getting to the PL once for a team like Luton allows them to get the money to make some good signings (which will hold them in good stead) even if they get relegated back.

They can then spend on infrastructure and get more sustainable.

I thought it looked wrong but I was giving myself a headache trying to puzzle it out! :joy:

Being run the way they are should mean the money will be put back into the club.

Are Luton that ahead of schedule? 6th last year shows it’s been a progression over the last couple of seasons with a three seasons in the Championship being built on until they sneaked the playoffs last season.

If they had gone up last then you could make that case, they’ve had permission for the new stadium since 2019 but Covid and all delayed it.

Maybe they will do a Bournemouth and keep it to a bare minimum who knows, but this last season showed nothing is guaranteed.

And who knows about Dyche and how he goes on, it’s a unknown and he wasn’t able to keep Burnley going even though he had at one point taken over Everton in the run in.

We simply don’t know what Everton will look like and if it has to sell then it won’t have that but of quality sometime needed.

Luton need to treat every premier league game as though it is the third round of the FA Cup… and go with the giant killers mentality of never say die attitude… If they pick up half a dozen wins, and a few draws by New Year, they might have a good chance of staying up

Except two

That’ll be the 4 point (3 Home and 1 Away) that they get from their games against us. While they’re firmly rooted at the bottom of the table.:wink::nerd_face:

I sadly have no doubt we will struggle away, we do need to get them home first.

Saying all that the Fulham result on the first day wasn’t as bad as expected it would look.

The slightest hint of interest from Everton and wham! “Oh dear. I seem to done my ACL. Looks like I’ll be out until November.”

Gets to September, “oh I’m fit and ready to play now”.

Though as that bloke tweeted they’ve got more chance of Tammy Wynette

If anyone happens to be looking for a job?

:0) - probably still like this now outside Woodison

'Getting a burger outside of Everton’s Stadium before a match. There were no hygiene restrictions in those days, the ‘cook’ used to smoke, wear dirty street clothes, no hat, dirty hands, he was probably homeless and always had a dew drop on the end of his nose which he periodically blew into the onions, delicious after a few pints !:yum:|16x16🍔🌭’ - Frank Carroll Everton FC Fan Group

To be honest most things are edible after a few pints, not something to recommend it.

Houses haven’t changed in that area mind.
