I’ll have a bitter please...It’s the Everton thread

It really depends on their success but the problem is it was still quite difficult to get tickets even when we were crap, the last time I’ve seen us was the 4-3 City game and that was one of those lucky refresh jobs at midday.

And our fan base is far bigger, I just see it as a very easy one to tick off the 92 ground list. There will be a fair bit of availability for years, it just about makes sense in London but City have shown even with their success outside of London it’s hard without a fan base to fill these new builds.

As I said earlier I wouldn’t build anything near the coast unless it’s a short term move, Goodison has seen them ok for 140 years, they would if nothing changes be lucky to get 70 out of this.

Tbf, it’s easily going to be the best stadium in the Championship.

To be honest some very nice empty stadiums in that division

Moshiri just protecting his money by building a big shiny new stadium…
In a few years it will be easier to sell when something looks new or nearly new compared to that hovel they play in at the moment… It certainly won’t be the success record of the playing side that will improve his investment.!

I don’t give much chance of Koeman keeping his job and even less chance of getting Gini

Does anyone know who the officials are for tomorrow? I hope they stop the thugs from the bitters from depleting our squad further with impunity?

Fourth official: Paul Tierney

Peter Reid. Graeme Sharpe and Tony Hibbert running the line. Andy Gray on VAR.

They all support Tranmere, apparently.

It’s certain to be a bunch of useless bastards.

That was predictable, now we’ll see if they can actually obtain funding to build it. I’ve heard that there are some problems regarding that.

Haven’t they already sold the naming rights to avoid some FFP scrutiny?

Isn’t £500 million for a 52,888 seat stadium a little on the low side? I should have thought that £650 million would be closer to the mark.

Still, I’m looking forward to the day they announce the new ticket pricing structure and the blueshites realising that season ticket prices will have to double if they are to pay for the thing this side of hell freezing over.

If the Blushite don’t get some ball playing defenders before they move to the new stadium…
It will cost them a fortune in lost footballs when they go floating away in the River Mersey after each game.

Depends what you build it from

I hear straw is cheaper than bricks and mortar these days or perhaps the supporters are being asked to donate 1 brick each.

A further theory I have is that they may feel they can recover a huge amount of costs in recycling the scrap of Goodison.

A thatched half timbered stadium might look interesting on the waterfront.

As for the scrap from goodison, it will cost them a fortune just to decontaminate it.

The projected deadline, 2023, sounds rather ambitious.

£500 millions. Their commercial revenue is modest, Champions League pot is empty, so without a lucrative (in the region of dubious) naming right it can flatten them.

Wonder what the Ruskey is up to.

Their Europa League pot is empty also…! :0))

I think they sold the right to bid for the naming rights. Which is like totes above board.
