Those are some good stuffs
The last time the bitters won a trophy Origi and Naby were born.
Not gonna say bad stuffs about our lads, but that’s rather inauspicious moment.
@Sweeting, who is this Thierry Small kid (a LB) from Everton?
Apparently rejected a contract from them and sides like Arsenal, United and Leeds are interested.
Don’t know much about him sorry. Looks like he’s playing for both U18s and U23s this season but I haven’t seen him play before (or didn’t notice him).
Hang on- there’s a youth player about whom @Sweeting doesn’t know anything?
I suspect someone has hacked his account.
All I can tell you is that I had seen three Everton U18 games this season and didn’t notice him so either I’m blind or he didn’t stand out!
I’ve watched a game he played in now and paid attention so I know who he is!
Watched a game he started now - he looks to be a super aggressive wing back, he was consistently joining the front line during attacks and Everton were intentionally looking to pick him out with long diagonals. One of which he took superbly with the outside of his right foot in full stride.
A little erratic with him decision making, couple of times he got into the penalty area and took the shot on rather than picking out a pass. Capped off his game with a tap in at the end which came about because of his willingness to get into the penalty area and a couple of deflections laid it straight into his path.
Wasn’t asked to do much defensively, he has good recovery pace and is strong - he’s got the low centre of gravity making him hard to get off the ball.
My comp for him based on the little I’ve seen would be Luke Shaw (while at Southampton). Can get forward with an almost reckless abandon and be a consistently attacking threat. Hugs the touchline until he reaches the final third where he will b-line it for the penalty area.
Can certainly see why Arsenal and Leeds are looking to take him, he’s a prototypical modern wing back.
Don’t tell me you watched a full game!
Joking, you are gold when it comes to this type of insight.
If the lad can’t find an agreement with Everton, maybe we could have a look?
I watched in x2 so wasn’t too bad!
Yeah he could certainly play our system and seems to have the potential to be a really talented wing back at first team level. Worth testing his agent to see if he want’s to swap blue for red - plenty have done it before.
It’ll probably be a good idea to watch Rhys Williams the same way next time he plays.
Rodwiguez goal cancelled out by late Palace goal, the bitters clinging on to eighth.
That was relatively satisfying.
Least they won the league in October
I do hope they beat West Ham, come on Carla, you can do it.
Careful. Sarkozy will be after you if you do.
They probably won’t beat Spurs because they dislike us so much.
