I’ll have a bitter please...It’s the Everton thread

Ha ha ha

sit tight during the pandemic while pocketing 11 million per year, lumber them with a few big money plodders who wouldn’t have touched them with a bargepole if he hadn’t been there then fuck off to sunny Madrid as things start getting back to normal…
He’s played them like a fiddle.

Wonder if he still wants the ESL teams punished?

One Everton fan I know is now denying that he said they’d challenge top four next season with Carlo, and now the rumours are saying he’s gone he wants him out :joy:

I did like the idea that Everton were to be the club that Ancelotti finally decides to stay at a club and build his own side. He hasn’t done it since his very first job in management but yeah sure, Everton are the team he decides to do that with…

Obviously he was just sitting around waiting for a job he actually wanted.

The only Everton fan I know has set his sights on Carlo’s replacement… Zidane.

Relegation for sure.

According to the Times:

Real Madrid are increasingly confident of prising Carlo Ancelotti from Everton and reappointing him as their new manager.

David Moyes is likely to come under consideration as the task of formulating a shortlist of candidates to replace the Italian at Goodison Park begins along with Nuno Espírito Santo and Eddie Howe.

Well I never; Gollum going back to the cesspit!

Why would Moyes want to take a step down?

Playing European football, some good players to build on, an actual stadium rather than just some drawings (ignoring for a moment how hideous that place is).

What does Everton actually have to offer? One of the best managers in recent times could only get them to 10th despite the club having the third-highest net spend in the last five years.

Almost done according to Ornstein.

Moyes, Nuno and Howe being considered as his replacement.

Good on him. He shouldn’t have to bother with Everton at his age. Looking at them from a distance, they just seem weird. And not in the good way.

When a fan base seemingly has a deeply rooted inferiority complex while also a strong sense of entitlement…I mean, that’s a lot of conflicting stuff going on. And it seems like the club is the same. Everything they do eventually just fails, no matter who they hire.

They seem to need their own Klopp or Pochettino, someone who can create a culture. And who knows, maybe that actually was David Moyes all along…

Fat Sam must be in the running haha.

Not a clue. In my opinion he would be mad to leave West Ham just to go back there.

If they had an ounce of brain between them, the bitters would go after Conte. As a matter of fact, Perez is an idiot for bringing back Ancelotti when both Conte and Pochettino are or will become available.

That’s the spirit lad!

If he wasn’t a blueshite, I might admire his candor…

How did Barca get on with their ex bitter manager, let’s hope Carlo stinks the place out at Real as well the fat snide bastard.

Not sure why. Conte may be successful but I dont find his teams style of play enjoyable , and he falls out with his bosses frequently. Both of these are factors Perez takes quite seriously - look at how difficult it was for Rafa despite being a player there and a CL here.

I think Conte’s preferred way of playing would require a significant overhaul of the playing squad. Carlo is a lot more flexible and considered good at getting the best out of what he has. Will give them time to turn things round financially.

Apparently it’s done already.

We had some good news over the last few weeks, both Manchester clubs lost their finals (woooooohoooo)

and now this. What’s next?

According to sly transfer centre:

14:42 ANCELOTTI TO REAL - 99 PER CENT DONE

Negotiations for Carlo Ancelotti to join Real Madrid from Everton are at an advanced stage, with one well-placed source telling Sky Sports News that the deal is 99 per cent done.

The compensation package to be received by Everton is one of the issues still to be concluded, although it’s understood the two clubs are close to agreement.

Developments have moved very quickly in the last 48 hours.

Florentino Perez has led the negotiations to get Ancelotti back to Madrid.

I always thought it was a mismatch and that he was simply biding his time with the blueshite until a big club came in for him.
