I’ll have a bitter please...It’s the Everton thread

If Everton had half a brain they’d appoint Eddie Howe, so Moyes it is.

That’s precisely why. Ancelotti is a short-term solution to extract whatever is left from their spent squad. Perez is just prolonging the inevitable with his appointment and in a year’s time he could be looking again for a replacement with the need to overhaul the team even more urgent. Not that I care but it offers the bitters the opportunity to recruit a manager of the same calibre as Ancelotti but younger and more ambitious.

Naturally they are too stupid to take it.

Must be the first time those words have ever been used in the same sentence.

I hope they do. Not that Howe isn’t a decent manager but he has a clear ceiling and has shown a certain lack of judgement when it comes to new signings. In fact, no matter who they get; Moyes, Santo, Howe… all of them have very clear limitations.

I wouldn’t say it is prolonging the inevitable, as the move is tied in with making those changes to the playing squad. Some of those changes they need or want to make may happen this summer if they have the funds.

If it wasn’t Everton, I’d actually feel badly for their club and supporters. The human element to this. It’s a complete shit situation and now their club has to scramble to start again. And the players that Ancelotti recruited to come to Ev. As someone pointed out a few posts ago, hard not to think CA played the club the entire time while he sorted out where he really wanted to be. Mercenary for hire.

Now all that said, it’s Everton. And for what Pickford did to Virgil and how the players and supporters acted after that match, they can fuck themselves.

Petty as though it may sound, I’m having joy watching all this burn.

Great stuff.

They were all set to go to town on Trent if he gets left out of the Ingurland squad but now all this has happened.

Everton that.

The idea that Stevie could go to Everton to manage them is completely preposterous. We all know that, but I’m certain this would send the blueshite into a complete apoplectic tailspin.
