This.

Also, Wijnaldum, Lallana, and to some extent Emre were vital in securing CL while generated a huge revenue.

Have they had their open bus top parade yet for winning the league in October.

Bus? That’s too boring for the October PL champs.
They’ll celebrate on a open top jetplane.

Has to be 38 games not 30 minutes against Spurs.

Imagine if he triggered this clause and went to wolves

I guess the point is they spent all that money to move slightly down the table. Every club whiffs on signings but in our case the money we have spent has - directly or indirectly - resulted in the PL and CL titles.

I just don’t understand it! Why was Tom Davies not in the running??

Looks like Nuno is giving the Ev the swerve.

And so …

Apparently it’s looking like it might be Graham Potter. That idea doesn’t seem to be going down well with everyone …

Bloody cunts, what are they whining about. Graham Potter is a decent manager.

If Brighton players could finish, I doubt many non-top eight clubs’ fans would be moaning about the prospect of Potter being their manager. Quite a decent fella, plays nice football, has a nicely organised side… It’s not like Liverpool went directly from Hodgson to Klopp, they should keep stuff like that in mind.

Decent he may be, but to go from Ancelotti to the guy was manager of Ostersunds FK only three years ago is something of a comedown.

If Everton end up playing like Brighton, i.e. nice football but usually failing to win, then the likes of Lee Mc1878 will be hounding him out there before the end of the year.

Yeah, but his work with Ostersunds was pretty impressive, right? Heard that he had them punching well above their weight.

I don’t know what the Ev actually want in a manager at this point. If they get a big name, he’ll just take the cash and fuck off to a proper big club at the first opportunity. Graham Potter seems a good fit for them.

Potter is a decent manager, but too nice for Everton.

I don’t know if he would be the right choice, but I think it is the right strategy. Hopefully for them, Carlo’s time spent at the club has given them some insights as to what top clubs need, not just money. Having a young manager bring players through and develop is the right approach for them while the club continues to build up its infrastructure.

I’m torn on Potter. I don’t know whether he’s another one that will flatter to deceive or he is a top manager in waiting. If you to only watch 60 minutes of any Brighton game, as I tend to do (unless they’re playing us), you’d think he’s the dogs bollocks. They’re really well organised and he has them playing great stuff but they often fall short late on. I wonder how they’d do if he had Kane and Son up front, I can’t imagine they’d be lower than Tottenham.

If I was an Everton fan, as well as washing less and being full of self loathing and bitterness, I’d almost definitely want him to take over. It’s a risk worth taking for them and at the very least I’m sure he’d make watching that shower enjoyable again, or do his best before the crowd ruin it.

Potter is this generation’s Hodgson. (Roy wasn’t always a super defensively minded coach).
