The fact is; just because we share the same city, those lot consider themselves our equivalent. So their perception of a manager is the one who will take them to CL next season and win it in the next one.
The bitter truth is that, they are in shambles. They need to gradually build a competitive squad with young, talented players guided by a manager with a project in mind.
I’d love to know who they think is gonna want to come and manage them.
Ancelloti was complete left field and a bit of a crazy appointment to be honest.
They will struggle to get a name, and if they do try and go Hollywood it will end in disaster when either he gets sacked after 6 months or a Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus or any other club bigger than those awful blues comes calling
No way is Potter a good fit for them. He is way to classy to associate with that shower of shite.
Saying that, he would do well for them as he had Brighton play some really entertaining football - they just couldn’t finish the chances they created. Give him a striker like DCL and I think he would be around E/L spots
Ferguson will get appointed in the interim whilst they are supposedly looking for a long term manager with vision. Big Dunc will be given at least until January whence the board can evaluate the teams position and performances in the league… If they doing ok he will be given the job on a longer contract… If they freefalling by January, then… ‘who ya gonna call’ but Big Sam :0)
As i’ve mentioned before , I wouldn’t hold it against Rafa if he does take the everton job. His family stays in Liverpool and it would be a way for him to spend time with his family.
Still a biggish job for a manager and Rafas a gun for hire and he lives nearby. Every reason except…it’s still Everton. Hope it’s just a slow news football day silly season nonsense.
