Something is obviously very wrong at Everton if, as reported, Nuno is likely to join Palace. He seemed to be their first choice, but they couldn’t close the deal, why is that? It can’t be about the salary offered, they were paying Ancellotti around 9 million a year.

And now Pellegrini is being considered.

But coming up fast on the outside rail the Spanish-sounding Frenchman Rudi Garcia, who has been “approached”. Apparently.
Everton have also made contact with former Lyon boss Rudi Garcia about the vacancy at Goodison Park. (L’Equipe - in French)

Also believe there’s a difference of opinion between brands and the other top brass at Everton. You would think brands would be consulted before decisions on managers are taken but apparently not.

This still seems odd. There should have been some plan in place even with Carlo staying.

Moyes is out of the frame now, he’s finally agreed a new 3 year contract with West Ham.

Yes, but judging from the Chtulhu-like tentacles they are sending out left and right and up and down, it appears there is kind of not. Maybe they trusted "
Plan Carlo" and figured they had some time before they needed to work out a comprehensive plan for their future, I don’t know. I just register that they are contacting basically everyone with a nice resyme.

What do you mean by brands ? I am not sure I entirely understood you. Do you mean brands, as in companies that sponsor them ? Because if so, then I don’t see why they should be involved in hiring a manager.

Referring to their DoF Marcel Brands, I think

Let’s hope for his sake, he gets some espíritu santo because he’s doomed at that poisoned chalice of a club.

I guess some people will do anything to move closer to Jota.

Santo will have quite a lot of work making their defense imo. But he will have the funds and his pal mendes to get them Portuguese recruits

I think more than funds, Santo will need time; which I doubt he will be given.

@Magnus sorry to keep tagging you but this is relevant to our ongoing discussion about Nuno.

Nuno going to Everton just further increases my dislike for him. What an absolute villain! And not in the charming, buffoon way that Mou is.

For me, Nuno is just a pure unlikable villain.

Hehe, I don’t think he has actually done anything wrong, but understand your feelings !

I’ve never seen anything wrong with him eithier. Sadly it may mean he is one less manager who won’t go and have a game against Man City, then again Leeds took that mantle over.
