The question to ask is ‘where this information is coming from’? This is likely to be one last ‘I am really serious about leaving’ from Konate’s camp, signalling that they won’t take the offer on the table - quite possibly in hopes of getting one more improved offer.
On Mo, he missed lots of chances this season he would normally put away blindfolded, he got old!
Exactly. No ones exactly chomping at the bit to get Ibou on a free
Well, I used to laugh at Arsenal so hard at the end of the Wenger era when they lost their captains for free every year. It’s really a huge indicator of bad management. Now we lost two players in their prime for free. Aside from any other factor, it’s also a huge sign of bad management.
I’ve said multiple times that this year will be huge. Jones is halfway out. Mac and Szobo only have two years left. One more bad year, then Wirtz or Isak, Ekitike might consider their options too.
Lfc should release a book. How to go from champions to a complete mess in less than a year.
Agree totally. Slot staying for a year is going to fuck us for years to come.
CL and PL winner, World Cup finalist. Hundreds of games at the top level and just reaching his prime at 27. There’ll be plenty of clubs keen
As I’ve said before I’m not his biggest fan but it’s pretty clear he can simply point to the entire squad and say every single player was poor this season and that it was a structural not individual issue.
He’ll probably be playing for PSG or Real Madrid next season.
I cannot believe the club are letting Ibou go on a ‘free’ at the age of 27 years. That is a prime age. That’t key players gone on a free ( the one being Trent).
He is an experienced player, won what needed to win. He will have no problem getting a decent club.
CL finalist. He wasn’t around when we won it in 2018-2019
Talk is Chelsea are keen.
Get Quansah back…but I highly doubt he’d want to come back with Slot around
I believe we have just gone past his buy-back date for this season. I suspect he is chalked in as a VVD replacement at some point.
Maybe Inter might get involved.
They play 3 at the back and as things stand, for next season, their CB options will be: Akanji, Bisseck and Bastoni. Pavard and Palacios back from loan, but questionable whether they count on them.
Th only options were either a fat contract or selling him on the cheap last year. The club obviously thought that it made more economic sense to let him run his contract down, and he wasn’t pushing for a move like Diaz was.
Diaz has come out and said he was pushing for a contract that he thought would reflect his efforts for the team. He didn’t actively want to leave.
There also needs to be a concrete willing buyer on the other side…
I feel it came down to wanting elite wages when his performances didn’t/don’t warrant it.
However, he is no worse than Cody and IMO better value to the team

We are losing another player on a free and the team are in the middle of a rebuild (thank God the team qualified for CL). Also, we are losing a starting XI player who did have his worst season in a Liverpool shirt but only after playing out his best one.
I like him as a character very much but he’s just not been consistent enough since moving from Leipzig to warrant huge wages. I’m really interested to see how he does when he’s not in Van Dijk’s shadow - and I’m interested to see what his next club is. I don’t think it will be Real Madrid or PSG but I wouldn’t bet against his next club being Bayern, he would do well there.
I did think it would be an interesting dynamic after we signed Jacquet for an important fee and then rumours that Konate was close to signing a new deal. I know Jacquet played across a back 3 (because there is no way I want Konate as a LCB here, even if he did do a job there, mainly because Matip never ever played LCB for us!), but surely the club knows much better than we do for months now how close or far we were to an agreement.
