100% agree.
We can’t afford any more free transfers, had enough already. If we have to keep replacing certain players after 5 years then so be it.
Someone will always be pissed off for some it’s any excuse.
It’s always someone else’s fault. Even if there isn’t even a problem.
Just expressing my own personal view, of course. I understand that these these behaviours don’t sit well with everyone but it won’t stop me thanking these guys and wishing them well for their future career.

It’s often no one’s fault. It can be in both parties interests for the contract to run down.
How could it be in the club’s interest to lose a player worth £60m odd for free?
Because your likely paying a lower wage than he would command if he were to have signed a new contract (and no re-signing bonuses). Less turnover/ easier to plan for exits, team / performance consistency. Club earns tevenue from that player appearing for the club. For example. May not apply in every instance but generally holds.

Szoboszlai has two years left on his contract. The club should set a end of November deadline. Either sign a new contract or make sure we receive a fee for him in January or summer 2027.
Make sure players understand that they will be treated differently as soon as they enter the final 19 months of their contract.

In even more worrying news a whole bunch of our youth team players liked a picture of Carter Pinnington moving to West Brom.
Why do all of our academy players want to play for West Brom?! We cannot allow this to happen!
