Not sure what to think of this guy. For every bit he gets right, there are others he gets spectacularly wrong. If we add Sarr as our right winger, though, I donā€™t think weā€™ve done any strengthening at all.

I think heā€™ll be a winger/cover for Isak type of guy. He can score goals, get him in.

Sarr is a regular starter for Senegal. He played 5 games for them at the World Cup and likely to play every match at the Africa Cup next summer too. Can we please stay away from that kind of problem?

It was reported that we didnt formally bid for Sarr, and the Turkish team he was expecting to move to apparently only offered in the range of 30-40m

Not in general. But Sarr missed big parts of preseason this summer and likely to miss again next summer.

With lots of (muscle)injuries throughout his career and at soon 29 heā€™s not going to get much better physically.

I mean I wouldnā€™t be buying him full stop. But I donā€™t think we can avoid international level players as weā€™ll get a World/European international tournament two out of four summers, an African one in one of the remaining two and the club world cup in the fourth.

All top level players are going to get rinsed. We might be lucky with Szoboslai and Kerkez in that Hungary donā€™t qualify much but thatā€™s going to be more luck than judgement if they do miss out.
