I bet that bottle of Ribina coped a good pounding last night
surprised at woodgate being there given that heās played with kompany etc as wellā¦ but not a bad XI
Woodgate probably like a Ledley King, āif only he had more luck with injuriesā.
But I totally understand someone like Millie in almost all of those positions vs who he left out.
That doesnāt look like a great āteamā, though. Gerrard, Lampard and D.Silva in midfield? Asking a lot, especially with TAA and A.Cole at FB. Firmino, Shearer and Aguero up top? Also lacking a little pace for me (I know Shearer wasnāt so slow when he was young).
Yeah Kompany plus R.Ferdinand, Terry and Campbell(?) were also higher performing CBs with whom he played.
Not all those XIās have to make complete sense tactically. Because itās fiction. As long as heās not putting Gerrard at RB, Iām fine with a more casual choice like this. Of course, we can have a different, more serious one.
Sure. But as a supposed āstudent and thinker about the gameā I thought he might chose a more coherent XI. If heās saying these are the best individuals heās played with then ok. Still surprised heād pick (for eg) Bobby over Mo or Woodgate over any number of other CBs. Think he only saw the tail end of Shearer as a kid (no doubt in awe of his newsandcastle status) and A.Cole was the business at LB for a while (and Iām guessing Millie sees Robbo as a bit of a clobber like himself)
He probably thinks heās better at LB than Robbo
Reading way too much into this mate
Nah, Iām not surprised, especially with Firmino.
Woodgate is my only little surprise, but I can understand his angle. It would perhaps be even better if he spoke a little bit and gave explanation.
Absolutely! Just trying to procrastinate and not do some work I need to or read anything else about Ukraine!
What? No Mo?!
Woodgate is pprobably just there cause of the Leeds link.
Note that he didnāt keep any man utd players there , says a lot about what Milner thinks about those manures
Millyās reaction and tweet on the 2nd goal against Manc.
Klopp confirming yesterday itās up to Milner whether he stays or not. So maybe the one year extension that was talked about a while back?
Guess itāll depend on what offers come in.
Would fighting relegation be preferable to staying and slowly transitioning into a training role?
According to The Telegraph, it seems likely heāll sign that one year extension.
Just want to state once again how lucky we are to have him on board. Heās such a fantastic player and character to have around. An integral part of Kloppās success at LFC in my book.
Look at how he helped us when he came on at Wembley, how he stabilized our game, gave more dynamism to our attacking play while adding fighting spirit and physicalityā¦ look at his ice-cool first penalty. Look at the way how he celebrated with the other lads afterwardsā¦
This guy is still worth his weight in gold, no matter what age he has. Heās the consummate pro, but also far, far more than that. A cornerstone, thatās what he is, just like Hendo.
