He is at fault 100% but if our forwards do their job it wouldn’t have mattered and been a consolation goal in a 1-5 defeat.
Not a scouser are you?
Pretty much where I am with it as well. Quansah will learn from the experience, but dear god we should have been home and hosed by half-time with all those spurned chances…
I agree but it’s not a case of which is which. We drew because we did not score more goals than the manures and forwards not scoring the chances and Quansah making that error amongst the other factors contributed to this result. No one is more culpable. Quansah will learn and be better for it.
The lad will learn from this,he is only 21,he fucked up,but let’s be fair,if we had taken more of our chances,it wouldn’t matter.
I also didn’t like the few times he turned his back to the game when he didn’t pass initially. Which is the same principle which led to his mistake. If you do that, you do it only if you’re really forced and immediately have a crystal clear get out solution on the ball. Did very well in the build up to Elliott’s penalty however, that was brilliant.
Virgil and Alisson conspired to drop an absolute howler against Arsenal, so it happens.
It’s been in the post for a while with Quansah, and I was hoping when it came it wouldn’t matter, like a late goal in a game we’d already won. But never mind. It is what it is. He’ll learn from it and get better.
If anyone’s wondering how he recovers from a behind closed doors pre season loss to Preston, it’s by visiting first street in Manchester.
He will have a big season. If he can prove himself to Slot this season, he will get to play alot more games and become a mainstay in our next gen of CB.
I agree, he is so composed in all aspects, the way he responded to the mistake at Man U, is what you want to see from a player and shows his mettle
