Joyce reporting it now
German sources suggest an offer of 30+mil. Decent fee for someone with as few games as Quansah. We know how much they’ve got because we’ve just given them it.
Personally not massively surprised by this. Slot wants more from his central backs than Klopp and I think, while he has room to grow, the areas of the game he struggles with most are ones that Slot prioritises. Think the opening game of last season put an image in Slots mind of the kind of defender Quansah is and it doesn’t suit what he wants

Marc Guehi is 24, 1 year left on his Palace deal. He’s who I’d be going for it Jarrell is on his way out - homegrown for homegrown.

What are his aerial stats like? I note he’s a bit on the short side for a CB - 6’0.
But maybe he has a good leap to make up for it?

If he’s listed as 6’0" as a CB you know he’s actually only 5’11". At best.

How much are they asking for him now ?
We’ll let them have the charity shield if they let us have Guehi. Very prestigious trophy, completely fair deal. Best transfer deal in the history of transfer deals

His aerial stats are laughably poor, in fact:
Compare Marc Guéhi to others in passing, goal scoring, attacking, defense and more for the Last 365 Days Men's Big 5 Leagues, UCL, UEL

The price probably reflects that he’s not good enough… Yet…
Would still prefer him out on loan but guess the club knows better about him.
Lol fuck, responded to the stats post in the wrong thread as it was being moved. This is what being on mushrooms feels like.

Even during the ending stages of Klopp , there were tendencies shown by Quansah that were concerning.
He doesn’t seem to have composure when making the pass.
Still would be a shame though. He’s still young and has the potential to improve on that. But guess the club know better.

The raw numbers are difficult to make sense of, but that is a pretty poor ratio

W.r.t Quansah , didn’t say it then as I put it down to him being young
What he’s said w.r.t Matip wasn’t on.

Guehi thread has been opened too, best to shift the discussion over him there moving forward:
Flip side of Quansah potentially leaving, Joyce says we’re after Guehi

Have heard no noise at all that Konate is about to extend which isn’t good at all. If Quansah sale goes through 2 new CBs could be needed
