Jarell Quansah (CB) to Bayer Leverkusen

Good deal for everyone. He goes to play regularly at a good team. We get a reasonable fee for the player as he is right now. We retain an option to bring him back in a couple of years, which seems wise as he has everything to his game to my eye… just needs a bit more experience.

If he doesn’t kick on, fine, it’s over. If he does, he is in the conversation for how we shape our central defence in a world after Van Dijk. Best of luck Jarell.

I’m sad to see him go. :frowning:
All the best for your career in :germany:, lad!
Maybe we see each other back in a few years.

(And now, we are suddenly awfully short on the CB position…)

And Guehi won’t help with that… :eyes:

Hope he develops as I think, as he has all the ability and just needs playing time to hone is defensive abilities and gain back the confidence to play out from the back as he has the talent to do so.

Good luck Jarrell, hope we see you back!

We’ve been short before because Quansah was not good enough.

I might think the same way as you in terms of him coming back, chances are slim, but who knows if he develops to the same trajectory even anywhere close to what VVD had, 60m would be a bargain then,

It’s not how short you are it’s how high you can jump …
Ok I’ll get me coat!
