He was, insisting a crap ref abides by the rules, match must be stopped for a blood injury
, is nonsense.
There should be something said here though as the ref seemed to have been informed many times and didnāt bat an eyelid.
The question is what can be done about these refs who seem to decide the rules as they go on. Also why have this VAR system if it can only intervene after the ref has stopped the match? and still get it wrong.
I have to say up until that incident I was ready to praise him. He played well and was busy he also attacked.
Did we get any comment about the sub? I assumed at the time it was because the ref was making him go off because the blood and we didnt want to be momentarily down to 10, but saw lots of comments on here suggesting it was because he lost his head
I think we took him off to prevent a situation of massive added time (and sometimes when refs give more than it was officially added).
Thatās what Slot said at the press conference.
What? I offered two options? ![]()
The added time scenario, you have to realise by now I give short shrift to internet opinion.
Has the potential to be really good and showed why in his limited minutes. Key thing is fitness.
He hadnāt really had any kind of injury record before he arrived. He was just unlucky to a two month one early in his time with us.
