Jeremy Jacquet (CB) Rennes

In all honesty, @Hope.in.your.heart had me at “trauma”.

Would’ve preferred him to be fit and play for Rennes until the end of the season, but there you go.

Now he can at least do a bit of game watching and hopefully he’s good to go for the start of pre-season.

I read it was the player himself that wanted to get back onto the pitch this season to help his boyhood club get into Europe. That said, it would have meant him arriving at Anfield under a cloud of uncertainty, regarding his longer term fitness and still a possible operation to correct the shoulder…

Money still talks though eh. A case of get your arse on the gurney into the operating theatre, to arrive at LFC with the best possible chance of being fit-for-purpose in pre-season.

Hopefully also uses this time to work on his English, if it needs working on…

I just looked for a welcome thread; apparently we don’t have one, or am I missing something?

I’m about to create one… But need to make sure I got the right categories.

Wonder how he feels. He signed with Slot and now Slot has gone.

Also this kit is way too baggy.

I’m fairly underwhelmed by this signing. I think we have to be patient with him and it may take him most of the season to get up to speed. That said I expect he’ll start alongside Virg as long as he stays fit as there aren’t other options. Really think we need to sign another starting CB

Time to close this thread.
