Jordan Henderson (CM) to Al-Ettifaq

I have no problem with anyone going to Saudi Arabia to play their latter part for a bumper pay cheque.

I don’t care about there human rights problems nor do I care about the stoning, flogging, lack of alcohol tolerance, I don’t care about the fact they have zero tolerance on gays and all that stuff.

If you holiday in these countries or go there for work, you respect the rules of the country.

No matter how much anyone tries, they will ultimately fail in trying to change a culture of another country/state.

I don’t even have problems with the Chinese eating dogs, cats, rats and whatever else.

Just wish him the best and thanks for the service.

I don’t care about the executions, floggings, stonings etc either. But no alcohol!! That’s disgraceful.

@Hope.in.your.heart asked what would attract Hendo to Saudi Arabia

@WooltonRed responded with the tourist attractions of public mutilations and executions

You responded with crimes you see as deserving of such punishment. Such is your right.

I noted that in SA, such punishment is also meted out to the gay community and some reporters.

At no point did your conversation with me confine your archaic opinions on capital punishment to “your country”.

The conversation surrounds why Hendo might consider Saudi Arabia.

The thing is, you already know all this.

That’s what he does in every discussion. Express distasteful views, then change the goal posts to pretend he didn’t

So not really human rights then, are they?

@Quicksand This is exactly what I said. No reference to gay people. Put your gaslight out. If you need this explaining to you I’m available for £500k per week.

Blithely missing the point.
Again.

The point is that in Saudi Arabia it’s not neatly bracketed to those crimes you listed.

I think we’re all aware of the moral and ethical conflicts with the increasing influence of Saudia Arabia in football.

Maybe we should take that discussion to its own thread and just have this one focus on the prospective transfer of Henderson.

Why, where’s he going?

It’s the way it is over there, so you just accept it. People have been trying to change it for a long time and got nowhere. So what’s the point. Give up and accept it. It doesn’t affect me, so I don’t care about it.

Hate to think what the forum’s new post volume would drop to it it wasn’t for all the posts about every thread being off-topic.

Bet there is a few with Henderson on the back of their shirt sweating now, with having to dump them an all

Brilliant…
@WooltonRed
We should maybe stick our heads in the sand…
Because his destination us such a tricky discussion.

Is that a clue?

Yes but I wasn’t talking about Saudi………

Give kids a replacement anyone over 15 give them a wobble for putting a footballers name on a shirt.

Anyhow suggestions all the four clubs have faced transfer bans so probably explains why we are asking for the upfront payments.

Sounds frankly a bit dodge.

I mean the tweet says everyone is welcome at LFC…not everyone is welcome everywhere.
