Bundeskloppo
With a view to filling the vacant manager’s post, the DFB leadership will now seek talks with Jürgen Klopp. He has already indicated his willingness, in principle, to take on the role.

Done deal.
The only job beyond Liverpool he has ever admitted he’d be interested in…
After Germany’s exit this was always on,no surprise there, but it will almost have Germany better placed than they were.
Wish he was still here, but that wasn’t going to happen!
I understand the attraction and why he wants to do it, but I wish he wouldn’t. He is happy with what he’s doing now, and this role is bound to take a toll even if he won’t be as hands on as he used to be at a club level.
That said, it should be interesting. If nothing else, Germany is going to have a lot more fans in this place than England, myself included.
I can still faintly remember watching some of the Brazil games in the 1970 World Cup… I knew then they must have been special because my Dad always made sure I was sat in front of the TV to watch them. Acknowledged by many as the finest footballing side ever to grace a pitch…
If Jurgen takes on the German role, I can envisage we will all witness the greatest attacking team yet to be seen at International level… He will just ‘Go For It’…
I’ve never supported Engerland in my entire life. Always thought they were shite due to the ‘stiff upper lip’ restrictions of the suits in the FA (Nod to Brian Clough there).
Will start to take an interest in how Germany play now though.
Fuck history.
Germany will be my second team from now.
Disagree. Jürgen in a few months

How can it be a done deal? He is already working full time as a World Cup pundit.
He won’t have time to read his contract.
He didn’t have to start immediately. Probably after the World Cup.
The details are being worked upon by his legal team, I suppose.
I always felt it was the last job for him, never really understood the idea of him going to another club. I also just didn’t see it, he may have gone to one of his old clubs in an emergency but the talk of Madrid just didn’t suit him.
I am glad for him, he deserves it and as a Germanophile I look forward to him doing well.
