Kostas TSIMIKAS: 2023/24

I think Klopp prefers solidity since the backline has new faces.

There doesnā€™t have to be something wrong for Klopp not to select Tsimikas. I think that itā€™s purely tactical and that his time will come sooner or later.

Besides his form hasnā€™t warranted him starting ahead of Gomez or Robertson.

Tsimi was done for speeding recently maybe that has something to do with it

Yep. Robbo is still the unquestioned first choice when available, while Gomez has played well since coming into the team and does not deserve to be dropped.

Kostas looks very much our third-choice LB now.

Klopp also likes having that one defender step in to the middle to have a fourth CM. Gomez can do that, Tsimikas canā€™t.

Yeah I think it has a lot to do with the fact that Bradley isnā€™t fully trusted to do that either so it becomes a competition between Bradley and Tsmi and when you throw robbo in the mix it gets even worse for him. Bradley robbo and Tsmi bring similar traits to the side and let me hide before I say this Trent and Gomez do as well

He doesnā€™t run that fast!

Kloppo loves running his players into the ground. :joy: To be fair with him, Gomez has resisted pretty well to that brutal treatment. Since months, Iā€™ve expected to see him break down anytime, but no. Fingers crossed that he can finish the season healthy and fit. :hand_with_index_finger_and_thumb_crossed:

No idea what happens with Tsimi though. Maybe he isnā€™t as fit as hoped for.

Gomez yesterday broke his record for the number of games in a single season, 44.

I think Tsimi is fit and ready, but obviously Klopp put more trust into Gomez and Robbo is back fit again.

Still some way to go to match his personal best of 3319 mins in 2019/20 season.
