Interesting thing I noticed how Barca has almost double Spanish players than Real in their first team squad. Of course, there are also other players with dual citizenship. But I was looking at simply Spanish.
Barca: Pena, Tenas, Garcia, Balde, Alonso, Alba, Roberto, Busquets, Pedri, Gavi, Torre, Fati, Torres
Real: Nacho, Vallejo, Carvajal, Vazquez, Odriozola, Ceballos, Asensio
A lot of those at Real might also leave this summer.

The ref chief at the center of this possible corruption scandal with barca is now being accused by Bartomeu of blackmail. He is claiming the ref threatening to out irregular dealings of the club once Barca ceased their business relationship with him 2018. This seems to be a sort of defense of his actions at Barca by painting the other party as the corrupt one.
But buried in his claim is actually a pseudoadmission of guilt. They claim they ended their relationship with him in 2018. If the info his company provided in 2017 was important and above board then so to would it be in 2018 and beyond. Why would they end the relationship? Possibly relevant is the end of the contract coincided with the guyâs tenure of head of the league ref association ending. Seemingly, once he was no longer in a position to influence the refs, the value of the reports he was providing ceased to be worth it.

Real starting lineup tonight.
Benzema, Tchoumeni and Kroos not in the squad. Anyone know if they are available on Tuesday?
According to Flashscore they are all carrying something.

Osasuna having a bit of joy with the high press.
I watched the Barcelona vs United game last night. Barcelona wasnât anything special, yet, they are eight points ahead of Madrid in the league.
Whatâs the problem with Madrid? Against us, they didnât seem like the team to be eight points behind. At least not behind this Barcelona.
Football is full of âunlogicâ results like that in a short space of time, every few days.
Real and Barca are two of the biggest clubs in the world who can give slaps on the pitch even if theyâre not in great form.
Then we have English teams who have made steps in last years compared to Spanish, mostly through some of the best managers in the game, a highly competitive (top end at least) league and obviously money.
Real could not beat 10 man Athletico yesterday conceded a equaliser with a extra man and giving barca the chance to go further ahead in the title race today.
It happens though doesnât it, like even when weâre good youâd get some teams show up and the pundits would go âwell if they do that every weekâ when you know next week they will be back to losing 4-0.
And as by magic Almeria beat Barca 1-0
Espanyol (27) is 12th, but only four points above relegation zone.
Girona (30) is 11th, but only four points from an European spot.
I wonder how the La Liga fans sleep at night.
Copa del Rey.
Real 0-1 Barcelona HT
Gavin is such a little fucker.

Does anyone know why Barca decided to turn Marcus Alonso from a full back that was better as a wing back into a cb?
With Pique (strangely) retiring mid-season, it left Barca quite short in the CB position. Kounde and Garcia pairing is not ideal given the height of the pair in an already short Barca side if you like.
& on the flip side, Balde looks a real prospect who at present is keeping out the experienced, usually reliable Jordi Alba out the side and want that to continue.
