La Liga discussion

*The prize the racists won was my sending off! It’s not football, it’s @LaLiga".

Contract’s up next summer btw.

What are Valencia FC going to do? Ban ALL their fans? The entire stadium was chanting racist bile aimed at Vinicius

Well they could, there was people who they knew in the crowd who exploded from the initial incident.

Though to say it’s a new thing is wrong.

Shameful. If La Liga had any integrity they’d deduct Valencia 10 points but they won’t because Tebas himself condones the actions by shifting the blame onto Vini. Shameful.

Tebas was a member of Fuerza Nueva and he now supports Vox.

He’s done excellent work on the financial side, but he’s a Franco fanboy. The only way he makes any meaningful moves towards eliminating this is if it has a negative economic impact on the league.

Need agents ally and Bobby to send vinicus some videos of liverpool.

Honestly , it seems a problem in la liga. It’s not the first time it’s happened to him.

The did because both La Liga and the Spanish courts have been appalling in their handling of other recent cases, determining that its not really racist if it happens in football because then its just Bantz.

When I was watching it several players pointed out the offenders in one specific area of one stand. I would hope and the protocol here in the UK would be to remove them. Valencia did nothing.

La Liga has been trying to fob off responsibility to the courts, but that is actually pretty weak. The courts may be appalling in this matter, but they must inevitably have a higher threshold for intervention - the complaints that are filed are essentially criminal in nature. La Liga can and should set a much lower threshold for intervention, such as empty stadium punishments, etc.

They should make an example of them massive fine and 20 points deduction.

this is jus window dressing @cynicaloldgit, because of the noise the whole thing has caused. so they have to be seen to be trying to do something. The hung doll thing happened in January and ONLY NOW are they arresting the persons responsible?? so they only found out who they were yesterday, the day before…Make no mistake, the race thing is a societal thing in spain jus as much as it is in Italy.

In many countries, racism is becoming far more open and acceptable. It’s modern politics for you: blame the “other” for all society’s ills, not those who have actually fucked up the country.

Sad, really.

yep… when u see the local press (after every single incident) saying, " well its his fault because of how he behaves"… this already speaks volumes about the type of belief system these folks have when it comes to race

Amazing that a sponsor will drop a sports star for saying “abc”, yet proudly display their logos during televised games spouting racist abuse, yet keep their mouths shut.

Barca the Champions of Spain seem to be going on a tour of getting beat once they were crowned.

3-0 down tonight and frankly haven’t deserved anything.
