I agree.

Things which need to be sorted out quickly.

@Iftikhar , really don’t care about Indian football. But what would you think about someone like Hamza shifting his loyalties ?

We both know he’s a championship level player at best so it’s useless to keep boasting that he’s a PL level talent.

Not to mention a snide cynical fucker.

Considering the present (dire) stature of Bangladesh football, even a prime Salah can’t drag us out of this mess. Hamza is definitely head and shoulder above the other members of present squad. But unless we drastically improve the structure, administration, and culture of our football we can’t take benefit of a better player.

Caught a bit of the match. Reminded me again as to why I never see the Indian football team.

Both teams dire AF though.

@Semmy @Arminius and other members of our Canada legion, any idea how good (or average) this guy is?

I don’t know the player, but a quick look at his career suggests he has been on the fringe of the national team, and hasn’t been able to stick at the MLS level. The CPL at this stage at least is definitely a tier below that. At his age, I doubt he would get many more looks in to the Canada set up, which is at a higher level than it was the last time he got an invitation. This is a good step for him. He will earn some caps, and make his Bangladeshi family proud.

@Iftikhar

Dear Sir,
I am writing to ask you a delicate question. As you have stated that the Bangladesh cricket team are the equivalent of Liverpool, how would you characterise the Bangladesh football team?
Are they analogous to Manchester United maybe?
I await your reply with eager anticipation.
Yours sincerely,
Craig Johnston

Portsmouth, maybe.

We used to be decent in the regional level up until the early 90s. Since then we are in a free fall, and currently scrapping the bottom of the barrel.
