Twice Matip let Gnabry come back inside on his stronger foot, surely show him wide and trust that Ali will save the shot especially on his weaker foot

The main culprit in both the goals (even including the offside) is Matip. Too benign in handling a guy like Gnabry.

I was thinking it looks more compact so far.
That little exchange where Konate goes ball hunting and there are 4 at the back is one of the transitions which need to happen. With Trent slotting into a CB position.
