Yeah, there was a similar one about 20 mins earlier that Bruno got on the end of and I think he was caught thinking it was a knock back and then was just unable to react once he realized it was coming straight through.
dang! the more you look at that goal, i wonder if Ali would have got there

Really, 3rd choice? Every club is getting down to players out of position at 3rd choice for a wide position.
Like who??
I Don’t care about other games, no forward is going to play well with the shit service we have provided to them, unless it is a big lump of a CF like Duncan Fergusson
Mac was backing off into space.
Going by the first alf we need some control in midfield.
The last few games have really highlighted how much our forwards have dropped off.
No threat at all.
I’m not saying anything.
No, disagree. We were on a downwards trajectory before PSG. They were much better than us in Paris. Much, much higher level than us. We have not been at that level for some time. Mind you, we dont have to be on PSG level to beat Newcastle and we can still come back from this.
true, after that first corner were burns had a chance, no idea why they had macca on him again. clearly targeted.

To be more precise, there is no more energy in the tank…
Mind you, Salah is on Ramadan…that could’ve affected his energy…
@Arminius mentioned he was going the wrong direction so had his weight on the wrong foot.
I did think though that he could have reached it but hesitated for some reason. Looking at the replay I think he was wary of their player in the middle potentially getting a touch on it.
If i were lfc id be pulling our players from international duty.
They look goosed.
This is the issue with Slot only liking 14 players. Its caught up with us.
Mate but winning counts. We won at PSG. We should have won at Anfield and we were unlucky. That was a crazy goal to concede and we were the better team. Going out of a competition hurts and brings the confidence down. We also miss Trent’s passing and our mid has been flat. One thing I agree - out mid has been very ordinary for many games now.
that goal looks worse and worse everytime you watch it

Hopefully, he learns from it next season!
I don’t think you can pull players from WCQs…
I think he was expecting a high ball towards the other side, and Toon had two players to try to get to that ball. If you look at how feet are set, his left leg is extended - he was probably anticipating a step that way. All of his weight is on his right leg, no position to make the dive toward the ball.
Just trying to explain where the criticism comes from.
Tank is empty. Bring fresh players on: Gakpo, Elliot, Nunez. Let’s hope for the best!
McAllister marking burn at set pieces, sort it out Arne or you will not get your first trophy as LFC manager today.
