Liverpool v Sunderland (EPL 3/12/25 20:15)

We need Wirtz to get on the ball more, he us spending too much energy trying to close down

The kind of imposters we miss…

Look how lifeless we look, fucking hell.

83 year old Granit Xhaka who we all used to take the piss out of, bossing us.

We’ve been turned from believers back into doubters.

Ive not heard the crowd this disheartened for years.

I agree tbh. We need to stop expecting a prime Klopp team. We’re still coming out of a crisis so a few boring games with clean sheets and nicking goals will do. Points on the board and something to build on

He is commentating to a fucking pre agreed narrative. Look at plucky Sunderland. Liverpool should be brushing them aside.

We are a team putting one foot in front of the other. There is nothing wrong with the performance in that context. We have to keep it tight, do the basics and keep it simple, and build our way into the game.

We are not going to snap back into amazing, slick football. It is going to take time.

I can criticize it too, I’m not blind to it.

Yes, the play is too ponderous. Needs more zip. And Macca in a 2 looks a bit off and we might need more physicality in there. I’m not convinced Macca and Wirtz can play in the same midfield.

Sunderland have made a great start to the season, we’ve been way off the pace. That context is important, for anyone complaining that this isn’t easier than it looks.

Peak Liverpool, fit and firing… fine, sweep them aside. But we are not that at the moment and we are trying to get there again.

I just don’t see much understanding, from some fans, about the ebb and flow of football. It’s not always a bed of roses.

Great times when we had those two on the pitch

We must try to acknowledge the small steps forward; still no goals conceded.

Its not fine how we have played.

Konate takes 20 seconds to lay ball 3 feet to his left.

Great shot from Szobo

Dom 50 yard effort is our best route to goal at home to a newly promoted side.

Where’s the fucking shame in this.

Sunderland are also a genuine challenge who deserve credit, and today are playing with the freedom of knowing no one will criticize them if they lose.

this football was bearable last season when we had control, this season, not so much
