Liverpool v Sunderland (EPL 3/12/25 20:15)

If he can’t start, then he can’t start. If he can, I’d like to see more like his performance on Sunday, if not better.

That is old footage, it was ahead of the United game.

It’s great that you always keep such a close eye on everything I post. Deleted

Nothing personal, I just have an eye for detail.

The champions should swallow up promoted teams especially at anfield. I have a feeling slot will not like their style of play and we will struggle against the physical side of things.

At this stage last season Isak had 3 premier goals so hes not far behind that now.

Actually looking forward to this one. Will be a tough game but I’m queitly hopeful the Isak/Wirtz partnership will continue to develop. Wirtz was class against West Ham, you can’t help but be excited to see him again.

Hopefully we set up in a similar manner - don’t leave ourselves exposed on the counter, pack the midfield, be patient waiting for chances. Sunderland are in excellent form but we should be winning this.

Should I get up at 6.30 to watch this?

  • Yes, the lads need your support from the other side of the world.
  • No, don’t bother, sleeping is more fun than watching us lose again.

That becomes invalid on turning 50.

Despite my negative vote I might get my arse out of bed in time for the second half. Then agin it will be bloody cold tomorrow morning. We’ve got the first snow of the winter in the forecast. Still, it won’t be as cold sitting on a seat at Anfield.

Aren’t you in NSW/AEDT? Kick off is 7:15 AM. Hardly a big ask to getup at that hour!

Unsure how this will play out. No doubt he will play Salah but he really has to put himself out a bit more.

Compared to 5:15 AM, that’s almost lunchtime!

Gomez keeps his place.
Wirtz keeps his place.
Ekitike comes in for Gakpo.
Salah keeps his spot on the bench.

It’s all I ask.

Well that and a win, plenty of goals, for, a clean sheet, no injuries and some Fede time.

If any of that is unreasonable, don’t tell me.

Yeah it’s certainly not 2-3am as we often faced. A 7:15 kickoff is probably the easiest time to watch a live Liverpool game from down under

It’s usually warm (until everyone walks out on 80 mimutes). COYR YNWA

It’s about -6C here, I cleared the driveway of snow yesterday, then we got a bit more overnight but I decided to leave that. Might be a bad choice as it becomes an ice rink

Taking the day off - need to use up some annual leave which will disappear at the end of the year if I don’t. Nice lunch with Mrs ROTW then the match is coming up. Love it.

I hope we see Wirtz behind Isak again. In the last game there were decent signs that Wirtz was looking for him and I think if that clicks it will be very fruitful, moving forwards. I would also like to see Ekitike replace Gakpo because I want to see if that can work, and if so, it could be a good upgrade. I expect Salah will start on the right, and if so, hopefully he has a good game, and at the same time, hopefully Wirtz will remain the main man as this needs to be established as his team.

Fullback? I’m predicting Jones as fullback. Gomez did really well last time, but if he is at the stage of needing injections I’m not sure it is wise to put him in again so soon, especially as we are bare bones in central defence.

Three points the most important thing. Beyond that another clean sheet would be nice, plus no injuries, and a bit of confidence growing in the side as remember who we are.
