Bradley playing so well means that it gives Klopp even more opportunity to use Trent in midfield. Another plus.
I donāt think we can blame FSG for this. Klopp is an āall inā man. He wouldnāt do a Ferguson and delegate the job until by the end heās just turning up to do the team talk. Everything has had responsibility for is because he wants it that way.
I felt totally relaxed at the game yesterday. Norwich never really looked like getting back into the game, despite our defence switching off for a couple of corners and the 5-2 scoreline flattered them, we couldāve scored 7 or 8. I didnāt know anything about McConnell until yesterday, but he played like heād been a regular all season, he was very impressive and Bradley was outstanding.
Iām not concerned about Gravenberch, he played well yesterday and scored a goal. People need to get of his back.
Yeah Iāve seen this posted a few times & not just on here. Even when we talk after a game at work, a few liken him to Robbo and the similarities are there for all to see.
On merit heās earned his place in the team so I hope he wonāt feel too deflated when inevitably he loses his place but thereās a lot to like about himā¦some of his passing particularly playing it inside to Szobo or Nunez are very crisp, accurate and with the right weight on them.
Indeed! And as a bonus, the ref had a good game from what I could see.
Welcome back @RedJedi !
Missed a blatant penalty for handball. But hard to blame the ref for that.
It would be interesting to know what would have happened. Was there a check going on?
As it happened, we scored very early after that so it may have ruled a handball check moot.
I donāt think a check happened or if it did then they didnāt look at it very clearly.
Can understand the ref missing it mind. Our players didnāt really appeal bar one.
Didnāt we score from the same phase of play? They didnāt show the replay until after the goal.
I think this is something that would need more thought. How long do people wait before the check is complete? The VAR referee needs to be able to over rule the game in these situations and not wait for the ball to go out of play.
A lot of the criticism of Gravenberch yesterday was mainly due to the fact that Gakpo had a really poor game yesterday. There was absolutely no cohesion between the two of them. Situation improved once we had Jota and later Diaz taking over the left hand side.
Gravenberch had a steady game and got a goal as his reward. Time for people to get off his back.
The average age of the starting outfield X was 23.0 years
I think Gakpo was put out at LW which is unfamiliar territory for him. Being positioned very much as a utility player these days, he has played all across the front line and in CM as well. Heās an intelligent footballer but will struggle to find a groove if he keeps being moved around.
Hard to link up with Gravenberch who was playing on the right side in front of Bradley? I thought they were playing on opposite sides, maybe Gakpo and Jota were doing some interchange but I remember seeing a lot of Gakpo on the left side with Jomez
Gakpo played 99% of his career at PSV or the Dutch national team at LW, noting unfamiliar for him.
I didnāt mind Gapkoās performance. He finishing was bad which is somewhat uncharacteristic, but he was getting involved and thatās the main thing with him.
Iād rather he miss chances, instead of not making his presence felt.
Totally agree with this, he got into good positions where he had good chances to score and mostly for us he has been clinical.
Just one of those days in front of goal
my take had less to do with his positioning, and more to do with the Gravenberch linkup. they were on opposite sides of the field.
You canāt let the truth ruin a good story, tut tut
