Liverpool vs Real Madrid, Champions League Final @ Stade de France, 8pm in the UK [7pm GMT]

The man who can fix anything… except Everton.

Yeah didn’t he do worse than the previous season?

I think we are significantly stronger in two positions, Alisson and Matip/Konate. We are stronger in Attack with Diaz. It’s a bit more complicated in midfield as we don’t know who is fit. A fit Fab would obviously help. A fit Thiago would be impressive.

I really think it’s going to be Bobby in attacking midfield.

It’s a real shame that football isn’t played on paper.

If it were, we’d muller this lot.

If Alisson had played the last final I feel we would have won.

But that means we would have lost the semi final.

Unless he got a concussion too perhaps.

Alisson would have been far more vocal and probably given something back. Karius was a Championship keeper at best in a CL final.

Even on his “ stunning run” I was seeing faults and I’m pretty garbage.

Dudek is mocked a bit but he was PL level even if he wasn’t the best. The thing is if he got knocked you play on it. If he had concussion then they review it. It was all of a mess and probably the reason he doesn’t is his confidence. If you ever watch warm ups the only time you will see keepers making mistakes is at amateur level really. Karius dropped the ball numerous times.

I’m really at pained a bit to write this about one of our players but he wasn’t confident and even if he was good without that confidence you struggle. I’ve been a rather average to poor keeper all my life but if you get settled with vocal support you see games go from 7-1 to 2-1 or as I did in one kept a clean sheet, a save early in the game is a cliche a bit but you make a few saves early on it lasts you in the game, if you make a mistake within the first minute your gone for the game.

Oh and on Karius I really really hope the guy finds a team, gets some confidence and excels.

That ship has sailed I’m afraid.

His best hope is reality tv.

I’m a calamity, get me out of here.

With David James, obviously.

Without a doubt. Alisson’s been the single most important signing under Klopp, even more important than VVD. Concussion or not, Karius was a poor keeper and the players had no confidence in him. Alisson is a massive upgrade. We are much stronger than we were in 17/18. When Mo went off and was replaced by Lallana it felt like a disaster and that the final was basically over for us. Now I’d be confident of winning even if Salah didn’t start the game. We’ve got so much strength in depth now and also more experience at this level. We are used to winning stuff and that also makes a difference.

I hope we thrash them. I hope we give them such a beating and their players are so traumatised that they never want to play again, their fans abandon football for pelota, and the club is wound up in humiliation never to return.

Failing that, a scrappy 1-0 will do.

To me it felt like it all went downhill when Justin Beiber admired his tattoos.

Bar Paris probably the club I most depise in the big five leagues outside of the UK.

Not just the last final but Perez made his big ESL announcement on a Sunday night and who had to face the cameras first? Us. And it had nothing to do with the players or the manager.

We were put in a shit position with probably a lot of anger and that was down to Florentino Perez not to mention the horrible stuff surrounding their poster boy up front.

I want Real Madrid team to feel they have a false sense of security, thinking they got got big ears in the bag and stroll around the pitch and then, I just want to slap the entire team with my handbag, for what happened to Mo and then Mo scores the winner.

That certainly would be the dream scenario

Franco’s team. They had won six before Europe had even laced their boots. Trent with the Alan Kennedy moment.
