Liverpool vs. Wolves: FA Cup Third Round: Saturday, January 7, 20:00 GMT

Seems to be the team’s motto for the season.

I’m sure that Jürgen and his team will know the personnel, formation and tactics to see us through this game. COYR YNWA :+1:

I see us going for a combination.

Probably not full strength, but certainly not totally backup.

We’ll have a full week after Wolves to prepare Brighton away.

A ‘normal’ Klopp rotation of about half a team, well balanced, could be the way for this one.

That’s my type of talk, lots of 3s! :grinning:

There will be a replay if this ends in a draw, right?

Yes but then they mentioned this in September.

Nothing since, I assume they won’t announce anything now as we are almost upon it and those attending would have deserved to know sooner.

After Konate horror show against Brentford he needs to have a dominant display instead of looking like Jimmy Troare.
Kelleher, Ramsey, Gomez, Konate, Tsimikas, Keita, Bajcetic, Jones, Carvalho, Salah, Doak.

I’m not sure if Robbo looks sad or determined

UP THE REDS

I read Coote on VAR for a min

Is Van Dijk sidelined for a while??

Looks like it, no one is sure just that it’s worse than they thought but then they thought it was fine so who really knows. Don’t buy the specialist is a major concern or where it’s particularly come from. Might be the way the new guy works.

I would bet a fortune he misses this weekend possibly Brighton thats it. I think this its to say yeah he was injured aginst Brentford not just dragged off which it would look like if he had played this week or next.

Loved Robbo when he came on the other night.

I personally think, that at the moment we should use every minute of game time to sort ourselves out. So minimal changes.

I would go.

Kelleher
Ramsay
Matip
Konate/Phillips
Robbo
Fab/Bajetic
Thiago
Keita
Salah
Nunez
Gapko

I think AOC, Elliott, Jones and Carvalho are good players but we need to be more physical.

Agreed. We have a week between this and next PL game and desperately need to get things flowing. I’d play 1st team apart from Gakpo and Kelleher

It is true we have a week until the next game and a fairly strong side should be fielded. But on the other hand, with VVD injured, I just think we cannot risk an injury of Matip - who is known for his inability to play three games a week and just played four games in a row! Thiago looked gassed and could use a breather too. Keita and Ox (who is a rhythm player) could use a start. Gakpo to be subbed on in the second half.

So I think Klopp will field something like this - slightly rotated but a strong side (which can be transformed to 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 as well if required):

-------Kelleher-------
Gomez-Konate-Phillips-Robertson
-Keita-Bajcetic-Jones-
-Salah-Nunez-Ox-

Re: Phillips. Also you’d have to imagine the agreement to stay as fifth choice is contingent on him getting the early rounds of the cups.
