A new signing for the reds. Winger/striker Leanne Kiernan signed from West Ham.

And another new signing, this time it’s Yana Daniels re-signing from Bristol City.

Anybody familiar enough with the women’s team to comment if these moves reflect renewed interest and efforts in developing the women’s team?

It’s possible. Both were in the WSL last season.

And another new signing, Megan Campbell has signed from Man City.

And another new signing for the reds. Jasmine Matthews joins from Bristol City. She’s another returning red, brought back to the club by Matt Beard.

Signing number 5! Midfielder Carla Humphrey joins from Bristol City.

It’s ages since I’ve posted (real-life stuff), but LFC women are having a good season so far, so it’s worth having a little summary.

The women are currently doing well in the FA Women’s Championship, sitting second behind a Durham side that narrowly missed out on promotion last season (iirc). Second won’t cut it though as only the team at the top earn a promotion spot. There’s only two points in it at the moment and our women are on a decent run of form with no losses in our last 5 games (4W 1D)

Next up, we face 6th place Lewes at 12:00 on Sunday. They have 10 points on the board so a win would see them match our points tally of 13. It’s a home game, so it might be shown live on YouTube. We could be looking at all-change at the top of table as Durham face 3rd place London City, the last team to beat the Matt Beard’s team.

In other news, last year’s Fan’s Player of the Season Missy Bo Kearns was recently called up to the Lionesses U23s and made her debut in the 1-0 win over Belgium.

Liverpool Women took all 3 points vs Lewes this afternoon. We remain second however as Durham were also victorious over the London City Lionesses.

That’s now 6 games unbeaten for Matt Beard’s team.

LFC vs. Atletico wasn’t the only game for the reds today.

LFC Women visited Sheffield United Women in the FA Women’s League Cup. The game was 0-0 at full time and went to penalties, which finished 5-3 to the reds. Liverpool remain top of group A.

Here’s an update from LFC News about 'keeper Rylee Foster, who suffered fractured vertebrae in her neck in a road traffic accident.

Hopefully she makes a full recovery.

Liverpool face a top of the table clash today away to Durham Ladies.

Durham are currently 1 point ahead of us, sitting 1st in the Women’s Championship so a win would see us go top.

Edit: corrected

Surely if it’s a draw they get a point too, which means they stay ahead by a point?
