Losing the midriff "wobble" or the TAN diet/exercise thread

Glucomannan might be worth a look at too. Its a soluble fibre that basically swells in your digestive tract and helps you feel full. I’ve just added that this last week as there are potential benefits for me with CKD.

Feels like I’ve got about 5lbs of Thanksgiving turkey stuck in my gut, along with all the trimmings. The last few days have definitely not been good for a sensible diet.

I’ve walked the dog a couple of times to at least move a bit, although today it has dipped below freezing and I’m not quite feeling the urge to get out there.

So did half a shot last week and felt no different hunger wise.

This week was amazed to see I’ve lost 3.5Ibs - so now weigh 13st 10Ib.

That’s about 47Ibs in total or 21.3KG in total

I did another half shot last night but I will get the patches next week. They don’t make you lose weight like the jabs they just stop food cravings. I don’t want to lose anymore.

I think this weeks loss is more stress because I’ve had a stressful year (20 year marriage over plus selling of house) and I think this week has been a bit overwhelming. I’ve not slept great and been off my food. You don’t need jabs just have a stressful life!

I know it’s not news, but worth remembering.

1 Hobnob biscuit = 90 calories = 7 minutes cycling.

So I can eat 6 hobnobs when I do 40 minutes on my exercise bike. Are those the nice creme sandwich ones?

I don’t know them, but this statistic is based on a plain hobnob without chocolate coating or any other embellishment.

You could do 42 minutes cycling and then eat 6 hobnobs, but it would nullify any positive effect from the exercise.

I’m very skinny however I’m diabetic so looking for ways to do what I enjoy, eat. I do the exercise bike for fitness, cardio-vasculaire, keeping muscle and reducing glycémie. No way could I eat 6 hobnobs after 40 mins sometimes a couple of prunes.
My exercise bike tells me I’ve burnt only 260 odd kcal so damn it that’s just 3 hobnobs. That’s quite disappointing really and a good indication of how unfit I am.

Sorry forgot to update last week.

So after my stressful week the week before I went down to 13st 10 then last week I went up to 13st 13Ibs which I think was a truer reflection excluding the stress.

This week I weigh 13st 12Ibs. I am only doing half shots now.

So 46Ibs lost in total.

Please refrain from providing calorie formulae.

Having recently gone balls deep into the world of cycling and related training where watts, FTP, LT1 and vo2max regularly inform you how utterly useless you are, I’ve spent far too much time already in my dark garage dribbling all over the floor obediently doing what my training programme tells me to do.

I do not need a HobNob cheat code. I’m about 1.5kg down so far.

Actually, question for here, or the cyclng thread, does anyone have any experience of these new AI training programmes? There’s a couple of deals out there now to suck you in and break you.

This caused me to think of weighing myself. I was down about 69Kg (it was difficult to measure as it was very difficult to stand up without aide). My Primative scales tell me I’m 75Kg now so I have put on 6Kg and most of that is muscle. That’s over 9 months to a year so nothing extraordinary still gives a number to ‘relate’ to.
I’ve had the exercise bike about 7 months now. Soo convenient when it’s raining or cold. When it’s hot I prefer walking in shady places.
Anyway progress is progress even if slow.

Nice work. It certainly sounds like the right direction for you, given your story earlier this year.

You can therefore eat 1.5kg of Hobnobs (plain).

Huh?

What are you huhing about? :face_blowing_a_kiss:

You lost 69kg?

No I weighed 69Kg. Should I have said ‘down to 69Kg’?
Too complicated this writing stuff.

started some serious running at start of November hoping to be ready for a half marathon at the start of March,

held off paying my entry as i wanted to see how fit i was at the end of Jan before paying the £45 entry, and anyway i could enter up until 1st March!

did 8.5 miles in 1:05:07 last night, my longest run in several years,

felt good, did the run with ease,

I’ve now received an email informing me entry for the half marathon has closed early due to it reaching entry capacity earlier that expected,

Hope there are hurricane winds on the race day!

Hi all

So I haven’t weighed myself since before Xmas.
I had to do half a jab Xmas and New years day!

Weighed myself this morning and I am 14st exactly - which is what I want to be.
I didn’t go mad over Xmas - very focused on not gaining weight and only eating when I felt it was needed.

Had quite a few beers (more than I usually would in the last 6 months) Xmas Day and NYE so Im pleased ive stayed the same.

Even though only doing half a shot i feel its still working the same. Im never really that hungry but do eat 3 meals a day. Pretty sure its mind over matter now and not the jabs but its working for me.
Someone else used my code and I have a £40 discount if I order another pen which id make last 10 weeks again by doing 30ml shots and not 60ml
