14 days after my last post so back on the scales this morning and was surprised to see I lost another 2.5Ibs. Im now 13st 11.5Ibs. Around 46-47Ibs lost since June.
Im not sure if its half a jab or just that Ive changed the way I eat and move a bit more.
Either way Im pleased with that seeing as it was my Birthday weekend last weekend and had a few extra beers.
I’ve had some knee pain which has kept me off the bike for about a month. I was doing 12-15km a day before that, either outside or in the gym. I’ve got a feeling that was too much and I should cut back a bit.
Any ideas what’s reasonable for a 64 year old? I’m very concerned about doing any permanent damage.
I don’t know really. I still have about 2 full shots of which Ill get 4 out of it left.
I don’t mind buying another pen and making it last 10 weeks. I also have the patches which I haven’t tried yet.
I was worried id notice weight gain on half a shot but I haven’t and although I do have days when I feel a bit more hungry I’ve trained myself to ignore it.
I stick to 3 meals a day and no snacking. If I want a little bit of choccy with a tea in the evening I know I can have it as I’ve only eaten good food all day.
This is one of the things Im actually really interested in. We know that some of the satiety signaling pathways (your brain telling you that you’ve eaten and dont need any more) these drugs impact are ones that deteriorate over time when people gain weight, likely related to weight-related losses in insulin sensitivity. We see in extreme cases of weight loss produced by gastric bypass that this can resolve and so there is a possibility we may see some of the same with these drugs. What would that mean? Essentially the lack of food noise and compulsion to snack/eat people feel when on these meds may stick around even after they go off the drugs if the weight loss has been extensive enough and sustained for long enough.
Its all hypothetical, but there is a good reason to think its possible.
So
Buy a bike that costs you an arm and a leg…to save the knee on the other leg? Seems a false economy to be honest.
Also, how the fuck will will @Bekloppt cycle with one leg.
Only thing is, an arm and a leg gone will be an immediate weight loss…
I bought a walking pad about one and a half years ago and religiously walking on it for 30 minutes every other day, and 45+ higher pace walking the days in between.
I switched to a manual non-powered treadmill after the walking pad motor went busted and alternate with an elliptical.
No change in my diet. My weight dropped from around 82kg to 73kg. Fatty liver is all but gone. I am no longer out of breath or strength during the winter months shovelling snow.
At the conclusion of the St Pauli v Hamburg match in 10 minutes time, I will simply walk. As boring as that sounds, a morning walk just helps everything. Mind you I’d rather walk with the lads around the golf course but that game messes with my mental health at times.
Glad to hear you ride. Hit the Sydney Olympic Park To Parramatta river ride it’s the best.
