Sometimes the world we live in is depressingly effed up.

Hope dearly police can rescue his parents.

I really feel for Diaz and hope for his family’s quick and safe release and that it does not drag on in time and create too much trauma for him and his family. Football isn’t important now for him and no one should ask him or expect him to play before a while after this is over. It should be only up to him. I hope the club will take care of him. His mind must be in a terrible place right now. Just very sad.

Wish him all the best.

And now that the personal note is over, I think we have to assume that he is not a player option for a considerable time, perhaps months. Absolutely worst case, if they are murdered, perhaps never.

Do you have a better source ? I can’t find anything right now from a serious non-football account. I am skeptical of the Mirror reporting uncorroborated hearsay from Colombia (often hearsay can be true, or partly true of course, not saying it can’t be true; but I wouldn’t trust it ever).
