I really think Diaz’s situation is aligning for a departure on a free in two years time.
Every source I can find suggests he is on 55k a week - I suspect he is probably on a bit more than that but even so, he won’t be a top earner.
If he wants to go to Barca, they certainly can’t afford him.
It might suit everyone for him to get the end of his contract and leave for free. The economics for Liverpool might suggest it’s best keeping him on a relatively low salary for two more years and say goodbye to him at the age of thirty.
We’re splitting bollock hairs here. You claimed he couldn’t read because he said 160 instead of 158.7. As someone else pointed out that’s not really a statistically significant difference.
I’m not sure if it was .67, but all of them (except that first one!) were all rounded off. Well, except for Jota’s 2021-22 because it was a nice round number already. Which leads me to a mea culpa: I should have kept them all consistent.
They especially hate it when you don’t do it consistently!
No, I claimed he couldn’t read because he repeated that number in a way that seemed like a statement about my missing that out. And even with the justification that I read it wrongly, and it was a restatement for emphasis, I had also pointed out the context that it was really similar to Mané’s worst season (as part of the trident), not to mention Firmino’s.
Technically speaking, it is really not a statistically significant difference because there’s no statistical significance about it, so to speak. No one’s comparing distributions here.
