This is about how I would see it too, but I would also hope we sign a younger winger, such as Fofana, who could play second fiddle to Gakpo for now while he continues to grow as a player. If he fulfils his potential he could be here for the long haul.

Not to mention , Chiesa looks increasingly set to stay at Liverpool. We basically get peanuts for him if we sell anyway. But he can do a job as a deputy on the right or the left wing.
We aren’t replacing a senior pro who scored 17 goals last season with a 16 year old whose barely played first team football.
