Karius dropped from the PL squad, and as for the CL if I have not become shit at counting since my school days Iād say there are only 24 players listed and of those only 16 overseas players. So we might have a free overseas slot available.
Why would Elliott not count for the B list? Weāve owned him for over two years and heās under 21? I think thatās an error, if it is there would be room got him as weād only have used 23 senior spots out of 25 allowed and only 16 of the 17 non homegrown we can list.

Elliott did not play for Liverpool for an uniterrupted period of two years since he was loaned out to Blackburn. I guess that is the reason. But even then, he surely counts as association-trained and does not hold an overseas player spot. Could it be possible that Nat Phillips does not count as club-trained then?

I must have had the rules wrong I thought loans would count towards the two years as its the club that owns the player developing the player for themselves.

4 protected slots than can only be filled by club developed senior players; Kelleher, Gomez and Trent. One short so maximum size squad can be is 24.

17 slots remaining but Phillips is one of those, we dont need him for full compliment of association trained players hes just in the way of us listing Diaz now.
Phillips, Minamino or Origi need removing from the CL squad. Even if theyāre still here.

This will take upto 48 hours more. Diaz played last night and now due to travel.to Argentina I believe for another match. Our guys will have been on a plane 8-10 hrs.
As I said about 24 hrs ago, all the excitement of this coupled with the potential for it not to be finalised till Monday means this thread will get wildā¦which is exactly what happened last night
