Luis Diaz (LW) Porto

Good article. Sounds humble. Love seeing clip of him after Copa America playing street soccer in home town. I think it will be easy to root for this guy.

Yeah in the summer before Diaz had blown apart the Portuguese league. Part of the deal was a swap with James Rodriguez who failed to agree a contract because he wanted Qatari level money and then the deal fell through, which also widely reported before Romano jumped on it. Luckily for Diaz he was rescued from the possibility of playing for the blueshite by Jamesā€™ greed. Now weā€™re saving him from the misery of playing for Spurs

Funny, I remember Everton were sort of linked with him last summer.

If he comes good itā€™s gonna be so sweet living off the bitters and spursā€™ fume.

One missed out because ancelotti ran away from them like a one night stand you only had because you were too smashed which led to James wanting ridiculous money to do anything.

The other missed out because Paratici kept trying to force Mendes into the negotiations for no reason other than being Portuguese friends.

Heā€™ll be a cracking football commentator when he hangs up his boots.

Any news on our delegation, have they reached Buenos Aires yet?

According to reports they arrived yesterday and a Colombian journo saying the medical will take place ā€œover the next few hoursā€.

Not sure if this has been posted already, but a good piece on our new guy:

I am excited, but still have butterflies, I hope the medical goes through okay.

Just wondering, do we have any Spanish speaking players at the club?

Donā€™t know but we have a few who speak Portugese and since he played for Porto ā€¦:sunglasses:

Adrian is Spanish, obviously. And hopefully our Brazilians and Jota are close enough to be able to make themselves understood.

Edit: And as Dutch said, heā€™s been playing in Portugal for three seasons so hopefully has picked up a fair bit.

I am not sure if it is correct, if you are Portuguese speaking, you can understand Spanish well.

He will have the Brazilian contingent and Diogo helping him settle down in Merseyside.

Oh yes, I forgot about him.
