These are some of Mane’s stats. You’ll find that he’s taking more shots this season but both his expected goals as well as goals have dried up the last 2 seasons. It’s a bit concerning even if not a indicator that he’s on a dip.
Again , small improvements can also be construed as a dip when the forwards around you (Jota/Salah) have improved more and given better performances
Maybe Diaz coming in will be a boot up Manes arse

That’s because you’re looking at the wrong stat. He’s only completed part of a season so far. Look at his xG90. It’s tracking as his best thus far with us. KP90 and xA90 are the concerning stats.

He hasn’t been woeful this season. Under his 18-20 level but not woeful.
In the early parts of last season he was top class.
He was terrible for a period last year but to say Mane’s been woeful for over 18 months is nonsense.

His goals vs XG hasn’t been great the last 2 seasons. Was in the green for 3 of the 4 prior seasons.
Mané’s never been woeful for us. If he leaves in the summer he’ll leave as a legend.

without a doubt. He’s a Liverpool Legend. Anybody can have some patches for a period. But if Liverpool potentially have an upgrade over Mane , would he still be in the club ?

Right, I’ll need to look at the League + CL stats as well. Doubt there will be too much deviation from these though
Yeah the bradman comparision is apt. If even at your absolute best, there’s a guy who’s got better performances than you batting beside you. Then it’s a losing battle.
