Luis Suarez (Luis Alberto Suarez)

Watched the Atletico game tonight, what a monster, what a warrior.

This is some record! The link shows the distribution of the number of goals scored at every minute.

Monster of a player!

He is the definition of a player who you love when he has your shirt in but hate his shit house tactics when on the opposing side.

A few weeks time he’ll be up to his shithousery again and Anfield will ring with the sound of “Fuck Off Suarez”

Great white shark of a player.

Sometimes literally. :joy:

Luis’ dive in front of Moyes is still legendary… my all time favorite goal celebration ever.

Damn, I miss the little cannibal…

For someone who went to the top level only when he went to Barca, when you look back at his career (even if he’s still active), it’s a damn fine one. Probably even better than one could’ve expected when he was leaving us. I remember exactly the moment when I definitely felt “he’s too good for us and should be at least competing if not winning the biggest trophies” was that free kick against Zenit back in 2012. The goal + celebration (in our context, going out against Zenit in the EL) made me immediately think that way that he will not be here much longer, considering his age, etc. Overall, 17 major trophies across 6 teams (5 club sides and one Copa with Uruguay). He only failed to win something with Groningen. Still active, still of a serious enough level, albeit having issues with his knee, that’s really an impressive career when you put it all together. Monster.

And we’ll want him to fuck off in that moment, but still love him underneath it all!

Not giving him any more love please.

Look at last night, when VvD jumped to header the ball, Suarez looked at VvD and moved under him (the type we always pointed out on Kane), then complained about VvD leaving a mark on him (resulting Suarez getting a yellow with all the complaining). VvD came down in a bit of an awkward angle. Suarez could have caused some bad injury to big Virg. So no, we need to move on and not giving him any more love. He can take his shithousary elsewhere (actually, I have strong word than this).

Have said it since he left. He is a great footballer, one of the best we had in recent times. But to me, he is just an ex player, he will never come close to being a legend, to being a person that personified the club. As someone who deserves lauding, he does not even come close to “lesser” players like Lucas, Lovren etc. He is history. All the best to him.

I wouldn’t want him to change who is for one bit. He’s a wanket but he’s our wanker.

Let’s ser how Mo shapes up this season. But as of now, I’d still rate Liverpool era suarez as the best player since the 90s

Maybe Phil over henderson and Torres over Mane.

Part time Phil no thanks.

My attitude towards Suarez is not about who he is onfield, about his antics and the multiple times he was banned in his time with us. It’s how after we backed him as a club and as fans, the way he wanted to walk away by threatening to take us to tribunals, that to me is being an asshole not just as a player but as a person.

Was thinking about him of course.

Joel is massive for us. He was exceptional in both the CL and PL winning season. When he plays he rarely disappoints.

Sami makes it on my bench - massive leader (like Milner). Agger makes it on my bench too - mentality Monster.

Carragher not in my squad :see_no_evil:
