I assume they are still angry at John W Henry for spending all his money on Liverpool.

Also the changes seemed to have worked mind, fingers crossed a similar impact happens here.

Red Sox fans are always angry. Whenever this run ends it’ll be Henry’s fault that it go on longer if they just spent more money!

Getting rid of Cora seems to have unlocked a few players - getting quality play from guys who were just backups or not even with the MLB roster 3 months ago. Hopefully Iraola has the same impact.

As a Yankee’s fan I know they are

Red Sox are currently 26-4 or something like that over the last 30 games. Currently 11-1 against the A’s. Insane run.

Fire/do not hire Alex Cora is the lesson here. I don’t know if Don stays on in Philly, but I know I don’t want to see Alex Cora next season (if there is a season).

31-5 (about to be 32-5) on their last 36 games. Apparently the best 36 game run of MLB team ever.

It’s been a lot of fun.

What’s been the catalyst? I know you have talked about the quality of the farm over the last years. Rays are still going strong for the division, but Red Sox are looking a shoe in for the wildcard (only a game or two behind the Yanks?).

Just jumped the Yankees with that win, although they can get it back if they beat the Braves.

Pitching has been excellent, Andrew Bailey the pitching coach gets the best of the lineup. We have 5 really good starters and our bullpen has been lights out. After that insane game yesterday we butned through the entire bullpen so had to get a big game from Payton Tolle - so of course he goes 6 innings, 1 hit, 14 Ks - on just 85 pitches. Then we had a guy who has a 5+ ERA in AAA come in for his debut to do the last 3 innings, since no one else was available, and he has three hitless innings.

But I think even more than the pitching there has been a change in approach at the plate. There was way more small-ball, just get the ball in play and run the bases well. That worked, we swept the Yankees and I think the players bought in. Now they’re just flying so high that it seems every hitter is seeing beachballs and no matter how far down they get you always feel like they can come back into it. The power is there now, the small-ball still being played also and they’re just relentless.

Cedanne Raffaela (been my favourite baseball player since his days at my local team AA Portland Sea Dogs) has been MVP calibre. Wilyer Abreu is a gold glover who is just making hitting look easy. Caleb Durbin, Andruw Monasterio and Anthony Siegler have all been massive additions after joining from the Brewers. Contreras and Sonny Gray added a much needed veteran presence and have been credited with maintaining standards and becoming the heart and soul of the team.

Also worth remembering that they’re doing this without Garrett Crochet, Roman Anthony or Trevor Story and we now have Adley Rutschmann to throw into the mix when he’s healthy again.
