Manchester United vs Liverpool: FA Cup QF, March 17, Sunday, 15:30

I was conflicted from the onset… It is just too many games

I just don’t understand how we lost , but there you go that’s football. It could turn out to be a blessing in disguise. Focus now on the one that counts and use this disappointment to make sure we grab the three points when we go back there.

No, you don’t.

That’s the main issue. We were firmly in the driving seat, Utd were shit and we just needed to finish them off.:worried:

That is poor 28 attempts conceded against a poor team.

As good as we have been at times this season, our defending has been poor, we cough up a lot of good chances to the opposition.

If Alonso comes in I hope he makes us better defensively, the ooffensive side of our game will take care of itself

Oh, a pawn then?

Speaking of prawns. I’m hungry. And I’m never fasting again.

Superstitions are stupid.

Title winning vibes, there’s our hero right here, found the silver lining, it was right there in front of our eyes!!! :slightly_smiling_face:

Agreed, cannot understand how some players played the full 90 minutes against Sparta with this game next.

The travelling Kop should have the cost of match tickets refunded by the coaching staff and the players. That was an utterly disgraceful performance given how LFC was so dominant until the subs.

Klopp has made a few mistakes as well. Leaving Nunez on for so long led him to make that mistake. Not refreshing the midfield in extra time was one big mistake as well where Macca was tiring out, Endo was tiring out

Getting Gakpo on was the biggest mistake of them all. Did absolutely nothing offensively and contributed to the clusterfuck in the midfield that happens to assist Antony for his goal. He deserves on the bench for a foreseeable time.

Perfect, now I have gone from having a cavalry to eating prawns, well done mate…

Who care if superstitions are stupid? (Besides @cynicaloldgit)

Hope they draw City and show some pride (i.e. kick the shit out of then).

They should have to pay again for being at an all-time classic.

Reverted back to the early Klopp years when we played the occasion not the opposition. Disjointed, not a cohesive team, left space everywhere, couldn’t complete a five yard pass, brainlessly giving the ball away, indecisive in attacking areas.

We scored three but that’s not the thing to focus on, we were shockingly poor and managed a few goals against a bad team.

Baffling to me that we have lads who have played well in recent weeks lile Danns and Clark there to inject energy into the performance but now we are hesitant to use them. They won us a cup a few weeks ago but can only get a minute or two against a bad Man Utd team while half the players out there are walking? Weird.

Only good thing is that that was Man Utd at their best and Liverpool at their worst and they barely beat us. Even at our worst we should have won had we not given them the ball multiple times in dangerous areas.

No good performances to speak of unfortunately.

We’ve been excellent overall this season but just very disappointing to put in a performance like that at Old Trafford.

Give it up, he’s been right three times today, can’t beat that! How many times have you been right today?

To be on the losing side after being so dominant for nearly 80 minutes.
