It’s not happening. All media BS. They will not sell a vital player with. 1 day to go. That’s suicidal.

Parish has already probably sold him.

A day is more than enough for them to sign players.

They already signed a player today, and they’re also believed to be in discussions with other clubs for one more defender they can bring in on loan (Salisa and Akanji I think are two that targets that have been named).

Yes, it does appear that Parish is less keen than Glasner on letting players go for free.

Which of course makes absolute sense because one of them has far more incentive to sacrifice the long run for the immediate benefit.

While a day is probably enough, so is a month. Two months and nothing has materialised.
.
I think it would be detrimental to their season to sell now.

But it may be more detrimental to the club’s future beyond this season to not sell. Glasner doesnt want the club to sell because he is more interested in the players he has available to him now. But how long is he realistically going to stay around. Parish is concerned about the viability of the club (and of his investment) beyond that time because they will be writing off £30-40m.

Parish will also be conscious of the absolute fact that Glasner is going to be getting a lot of bigger clubs sniffing round him this season, and a good chance he’ll go somewhere like Man United or even Newcastle should they sack their managers.
