I’ve lived my whole life in Montenegro and Serbia, so I know this type of father very well, having encountered quite a few of them. Overbearing, thinking they know everything, utterly arrogant, always in your face, not allowing you to say a word in their presence… A lot of them have no real qualifications in life other than taking care to maximise the financial potential of their children.
One of them is the father of the tennis G.O.A.T., though, but I usually turn off the screen whenever he comes up with some pearls of wisdom. Same will go for Kerkez’ father (I had no idea he was such a prick - you wouldn’t believe the language he used on that podcast, too), though we’ll see how far Kerkez can go. I like him a lot personally, he’s ecstatic to be here, and credit to Hughes for being able to “control” and impress such a difficult person that his father is.

Something about how public this is reminds me of Zielenski in our shirt and Fekir filming his welcome video.
There is a small part of me hoping for some of the chaos that would follow him being sat in our car park ala Odemwingie.

Deal is done for 40m is what I hear. This is an excellent signing. We have on both sides very talented and dynamic fullbacks locked down to long term deals. With Kerkez and Frimpong bombing forward, stretching the defence, and Florian pinging in those passes, we’re gonna score LOTS of goals! Very excting!
