It is rocky. Egypt was one of the countries that participated in the Saudi led blockade a few years ago, but their beef with them over supposed support of terrorist groups in Egypt long predates that blockade. Yet despite that Qatar invests more in Egypt than it does in any other foreign country and despite the long simmering tensions between them Egypt was the first of the blockade countries to resume diplomatic relations.
I do not think it is far fetched to think that the Egyptian government think that 1) good relationships with Qatar is important for them, and 2) Mo going to PSG is a good way to bolster that culturally and economically.
Could be a trick. Pretend Mo is determined to sign despite all asking him to go elsewhere, and then if he doesnt, can then blame the club for going back on word or something?
Hopefully, its good news and club and player have closed the gap wnough on any differences to get the deal done.
To be honest if they announce it they wonât announce it tonight anyhow, they will wait til Thursday or Friday so Klopp doesnât have to answer another question about it.
I dunno he basically tried to take on a watford defender on Saturday 3 times inside 10 seconds that sounds like someone with something else at play rather than laziness.
He is trying too hard and trying to rediscover his mojo.
He has been through some shit the last month or 2 with his country, itâs probably quite a stressful time for him.
I hope there is news of the contract today / tomorrow.
I wouldnât mind better this was sorted at the start of the week and waiting to be announced to give everybody at the club a lift before the City game.
Mo form of late has been worrying, the contract is definitely causing some issues for his, as well as the previously mentioned heartaches internationally
