If he was to fluke some awful shot off a defender into the net I think he might get back to normal. I thought the press would be banging on about his drought by now weirdly, usually takes 2 games. I know he had the penalty but “fRoM oPeN plAY”

Been quiet all the time so why give an interview 2 days before the big game? That’s selfish. 
And while it looked like he is going to sign a new contract in the last few days this looks like one of those comments by Gini when it became very clear he won’t stay.
If he stays or goes, if we sell him or if he walks out of his contract he always will stay one of my favorite Liverpool players of all time

He hasn’t said anything, one way or other.
But there will be loads of amateur analysis of what he means or doesn’t mean in a fairly banal interview.
He is fit and available on Sunday. At the moment thats enough for me.

Mo just win us the PL and CL again and FACup (why not) and then we will let* you go to PSG or wherever will pay your agent what he wants so you can have 18 months to realise you made a massive mistake while we move on while remembering your excellence and the trophies you helped us win. You get your cash instead of a statue and immortalization but I for one would be very happy with the deal from LFC’s perspective.
*Assumes big fat fee too, btw.

The options
1, He signs - Great
2, He doesn’t sign, but we sell him in the summer for a huge fee and wisely invest the cash - Ok
3, He doesn’t sign, nobody comes up with the money and he sees out his contract - Hmm
For option 2 to work, someone would have to be willing and able to pay a well over 100 million fee + 20+ million in wages. That’s a very small group of clubs. Realistically only PSG and Real are options. I can’t see us selling to a PL rival.
For option 3, there’s a danger that his motivation will be affected and his performance will suffer. This would be bad for him and us. If he’s able to see it as one last chance to give his all, it could work out, but it’s far from certain, especially if there’s bad blood after the negotiations.
Far and away the best option for all concerned is option 1.

Although players who have done that in the past have tended to remain professional. I don’t think it’s in their interest to look substandard when they are after a big contract elsewhere.

Is it coincidence that all this will he won’t he talk is happening and he is in a poor run of form - 1 goal in 6 and that was a penalty.

I think we would need the money generated by the sale of Salah to be in with any chance whatsoever of signing Mbappé.

According to Balague, PSG are offering Mbappe €150m signing on fee plus a NET annual salary of €21m on a 2 year deal.
The guy has an offer on the table for €230m for two years’ work… he ain’t coming here… can we drop it now please? More chance of us signing the Easter Bunny.
