Playing every single minute in the AFCON which included 4 knock out games with extra time has more to do with it. Heās scored a grand total of 5 goals since his return.
You have to also factor in the pulling power of Benzema having a sex tape of him. Could be a valuable point in Realās negotiations to get him to go there.
Real buying Mbappe this summer and PSG needing a replacement is the only avenue that seems viable for Mo to leave this summer. I just cannot imagine any other club in world football having the need for a striker and the money that would be required for us to sell. From a footballing perspective it doesnāt make sense for PSG, but we know that it isnāt the point.
I want him to sign. If he does, great. He is world class and has goals aplenty in him, even if right now it is an understandable dip in form.
If he doesnāt sign then I would prefer he left in summer, so we can rebuild and get on with it.
The list of possible suitors for him is very small, as everyone knows, and there may need to be some other moves that happen before the right opening comes about for Mo.
On current form(past 10 games?) not even in the top 10 best players in the world. Contract is most likely effecting his game big time. In normal circumstances when he is off form, at least his touch, assists, etc, are on form. Tomorrow would be perfect time to get back to form some type of form. We canāt have any passengers tomorrow.
Certainly hasnāt helped. Mo hasnāt been particularly good in those game either, even taking into consideration how weak his national team is, so maybe contract is not helping in those situations either.
I canāt stand contract situations like this during the season, it never helps the team, and it almost seems like a strategy (especially so publicly) to get the club to act quickly in order to avoid disruption.
This summed beautifully. And just like Dutch said earlier. I love Mo, will always back him through the best of times and through challenging times. Heās brought a lot of joy and wonderful memories (to me) over his time here. I badly want him to sign but if he moves on, then it wasnāt meant to be, and I will always hold him in the highest regard.
As an aside, allow me this mini rant. Maybe Iām just being sensitive, as a crazy Mo supporter, but Iāve never understood Son seems universally beloved by the media while Mo does not, and takes some odd critiques in the media.
Son, while an exceptional talent, Iāve always viewed as a low key villain and really dirty player. Again, this just my own opinion.
It is the elephant in the room but Salah is Islamic. Journalists will not touch it or deny it but, that is the explanation IMHO.
On the other hand, I can see ghosts and be way of line, who knows but Salah alway comes across as somebody who I would like to have a beer with in my local, oh wait ā¦
