I think Salah has been a super unlucky sod in the last few games. He just needs a bit of luck.
Heās not playing badly at all, but this run of form is a nice example of why those who were edging towards calling us a one man team because of Salahās stats were miles off.
Salah is a great player but we do not rely on him. We have so much quality elsewhere itās kind of silly.
I think all that is missing is his goals, probably trying too hard as itās playing on his mind.
I think that is a fair answer if we didnāt have anyone elseā¦ But with the quality that we have Iām not sure.
If fatigue is one of the causes, Iām not sure persisting with Salah right now is the answer. Itās not like Jota and Firmino are bad options.
Is it a an example of good succession planning? Salah will leave eventually. But by that time we seem to have spread goals across the front line. Jota scoring at an excellent rate, Luiz being a threat everytime he plays, Mane again excellent even after changing position, and Bobby finding his best form.
And I donāt even want to go to the midfield who are doing great. And then the likes of Konate who just canāt seem to stop scoring (touch wood).
On the face of it, it seems like Salah is not scoring enough, which sounds like a bit of concern. But if we go into detail, the team is scoring more than enough to win games to fight on all 4 fronts.
No concern for me here. Not sure we will do the quadruple. But whatever happens in the next couple of years, I think we wonāt feel a pinch when Salah leaves. There seems to be great planning in place and we can enjoy Moās career with us when he eventually leaves, instead of moaning about a great player leaving.
Drought over, business as usual.
Iām home, Iām drunk, watching the interviews & Salah joking with Thiago about playing the Derby is absolute happiness
What a time for Mo to rediscover his mojo
Credit Klopp for not dropping him
Is there a story behind his goal celebration? Doing a namaste while standing on one leg like a flamingo.
Isnāt it a God like pose?
Maybe a dedication to Fowler?
Egyptian Yoga King?
Its a yoga pose. So made me think why he is doing it so often these days. Is he practicing yoga regularly these days and acknowledging the benefits via his celebration?
A silly question but somehow got me wondering.
Isnāt it to signify āat peaceā
He did the same with that thunderbolt goal v Chelsea - not sure if that was on the back of a goal drought or speculation on his future but he has done it before
Eka pada pranamasana
He is drastically out of shape so any additional training he does to stable that flabby Egyptian gut the better
It was a goal drought from memory.
The yoga pose is known as āThe treeā and signifies balance and grounding.
I assumed the celebration was for Ron.
