Mohamed SALAH: 2021/22

Perhaps he wants reassurances that we AREN’T going to sign Mbappe?

I can assure him, we definitely won’t sign Mbappe. That’s an easy one.
What else does he want? I’ll see what I can do.

Another cat.

I saw something earlier on Facebook that suggested this might all be about image rights?

Mo currently owns his own image rights, and has a deal with Adidas. Mo wants to be compensated for the lost money if his image rights are taken in house, or wants to be able to keep his partnership with Adidas.

Don’t know how plausible this is, but I certainly think this isn’t about his base salary.

Why would we give a shit about image rights?

Money, innit?

Where the image rights money, John?

Yeah let him keep his image rights then. Image rights plus 300k per week, I’m sure he’ll find a way to hussle and keep a roof over his head. I’m guessing some of these higher touted >400k ‘weekly wages’ involve signing away these rights. Easier just to take the 50% payrise and win more PL and CL titles here, Mo. Ask Gini or Phil if you’re still not sure.

It’s all about the money. It’s not about Recognition & Respect. He’s already got them. His name is carved in the hearts of millions of LFC fans across the world for generations to come. 60 years hence, the current 12 years old, will reminisce with the young boy who’s just coming aboard, “I remember when Mo scored that unbelievable goal. What a GREAT player he was!”. Yes, it’s all about the money :man_shrugging:t5:

How does anyone expect a man with a family to live decently with just 300k per week? If MO signs we should run a gofundme campaign for him

Fuckin liberty, innit? FSG can afford to pay the man a living wage at least ffs

Its all about money because of an interview.
He is happy at Liverpool according to said interview.
Its about image rights according to Facebook.
Thats still money according to some…

What do we do? The supporters??
Ask Klopp to make him train with the kidss and start Divock up front against Everton?

Or, support one of the best players in our great history, a player who has contributed richness to this great team. I personally dont give a fuck what he wants or earns or what structures he breaks.

All the criticism of greed might be misdirected, lets give him a chance. If he stays…brilliant. if he goes I wish him well and say thanks for keeping our dreams alive.

Agreed. Although I’d be more willing to contribute if I also knew he was gettin’ his hussle on.

With PSG being one of the only clubs that he could realistically move to I’d use this as a warning.

Entitled and contrived doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Yeah thats all well and good and fine if the club can afford to pay what he’s asking for,but it may have a knock on effect that could effect other players being able to re-sign for us,what if Mo gets his 500k a week and all his image rights but then Mane and Firmino ask for a similar deal but the club can’t stretch its funds that far for all 3 and the other 2 leave.

What if paying that extra £200k a week means not being able to sign 1 or 2 top class players in the summer aswell? Do you risk jeopardising the whole process put in place to build a winning squad by bending over to a players demands (when he’s already on a good wage and being offered a better one, just not as good as financially doped club players).

The reason he’s loving playing in this squad and us being able to assemble this squad is because of our wage structure and us being financially savvy and doing things thd right way,why would we potentially fuck everything up or Mo expect LFC to ruin a tried and tested winning formula for what is probably an obscene contact that only Man Cheaty and PSG’s of this world are offering.

Don’t get me wrong,i’m not hung up on him getting what he deserves but the club comes first and if he wants to chase the money then good luck to him but he’ll lose everything else he loves that this club is offering him,when/if he joins another club, ask Gini and Coutinho.

I think you missed my point.
None of us REALLY know what he wants. Its speculation at best.
He is playing well, in a team that can win stuff.
Instead of getting hung up on other peoples money why not just support him as a Liverpool player?
People being critical of his “demands” surely don’t know whats really happening.

What is known is that he’s acting out at exactly the wrong moment and bringing ‘the fans’ into it. It would harm him none to just wait till the champions league parade is done before starting his media saber rattling.

You have a point, but he’s the one doing interviews saying the fans know what’s going on, which we clearly don’t.
Either his agent has put him up to it to pressure the club, or he’s being coquettish, neither of which are helpful at this time.

Fucking joke of a club. What happens when/if they do win the CL ? They all say that’s it then now , nothing left for us ?

Dickheads.

Meanwhile, on the Wirral, someone was trying to stop a seagull from nesting on their chimney by sticking up a big picture of Mo Salah. This was in the belief that the seagull was an Evertonian (shit-for-brains behavior is an obvious sign of it.)

The seagull is now back, proving it was an Evertonian because you’ll never get rid of a Bitter that easily.

In the interview he said the fans know so stop acting dumb. Unless you not a real fan! I don’t need to add a winking face, do I?
